Great food and pretty reasonable prices for beer and portions. Bartender apologized for the wait which was very minimal. Great little stop
Staff was upbeat and the wings were great. Karaoke started at like 6 or 7. I guess the older crowd has to get their songs in before bedtime.
We managed to get in right before the lunch crew came in. Although it was quite busy, we always had someone helping us and got food in a manageable time. Smoked boneless wings were great with a good flavor and the Raging Cajun Chicken was good too! Limited selection of beers on tap though due to legs being out.
We had the tenderloin and loaded fries. I was very impressed. The food was delicious. Great atmosphere. It has turned into one of my favorite places to go to.
My mom was in the hospital for a surgery. I was looking for a hometown bar to relax and get some food. let me tell you did not disappoint, the staff was very friendly and the burgers are awesome. Thank you Checkered Flag Tavern!
We were excited to try after hearing The Best Wings review. Arrived around 5:00 pm on Thursday eve, about 15 customers in the place, and a one arm bartender. She was complaining her shift should have ended hours ago. We had one beverage and she never came back to task us if we wanted anything else. 5:30, obviously, it was shift change, and not one newly clocked in gal acknowledged us. We had to go to the register, interupt the employees conversation to ask for our bill. Step it up.
Great karaoke every Monday night with cheap beers & a great crowd! ALWAYS a hometown favorite & the waitresses are so cute & crazy fun! Highly recommended & the BEST “Pub Grub” in town‼️????? I call it Indy’s Own “Coyote Ugly”?

Busy for lunch and good reason. Wings excellent, tenderloin too. Can't beat anything out of the smoker.
In town for a concert at the 8 second saloon. Looking for down home bar and we sure did find it!!! Bobi Jo and Jordan made us feel right at home! Food is delicious and the company from the bartenders was even better!! Would definitely come back!! Love this place!! Thanks for the hospitality from Illinois!! ❤️❤️
