Brenda's has been my go to cake place for a few years now, ever since she did my daughter's graduation cake. They are easy to work with and make the most beautiful and delicious cakes!!
Since moving to Indianapolis from New York we have tried many different bakeries and once we tasted our first birthday cake from Brenda's Cakes we were sold! Now Brenda's Cakes is the only place we will order a birthday cake from! The cakes are always delicious and consistent in flavor! Our most recent order was a Stranger Things cake for our son's birthday and Brenda did an amazing job as always!
Brenda's did our wedding cake and it was beautiful! The flavors of each tier were amazing! We did white cake/lemon curd, chocolate cake/seedless raspberry, marble/Bavarian cream. I'm not a chocolate cake fan but that seedless raspberry made it to die for! I can't wait for our anniversary to eat the top tier....even at a year old I'm sure it'll still be good. The process was easy & Brenda was helpful throughout the whole thing. I gave her my vision, emailed a few pictures, and dropped off some silk flowers and she took it from there. Delivery was on time and set up without any issues as well. I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try and I'll definitely be back for future celebrations.
Owner was sooo sweet.....I appreciate tht she was able to accommodate my needs at the last minute??....and everyone loved the cake....
If i had the option to not rate, i wouldn’t. The communication is horrible. I had a cake tasting scheduled one week and had to set a new appointment due to the lack of communication (two different workers not communicating with one another ) as well as not having the cakes ready on original schedule . On the new scheduled day of cake tasting, due to the lack of communication i thought it would be best to call due to avoid issues JUST to find out someone changed the time without consulting me. Very disappointed and i made the decision to fully cancel for what is called unprofessional on their end.If you do not want to stress or To avoid anxiety for your big day … say NO to this place. GOT A CAKE MADE FOR MY NEPHEW ITS WAS AMAZING THE FIRST LADY WAS VERY THOROUGH ABOUT SIZING PRICING AND DETAILS. WHEN I CAME BACK FOR MY BIRTHDAY CAKE I SHOWED HER THE CAKE THAT I WANT AND SHE SAID SHE CAN MAKE IT. WE NEVER DISCUSSED SIZING. BUT WE DID DISCUSS THE WAY THE DECOR WAS SUPPOSE TO LOOK. AND IT DIDNT LOOK THAT WAY. SHE ARGUED WITH ME THAT SHE DID TELL ME THE SIZING AND SHE DIDNT. SO I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND SHE GAVE ME MY REFUND AND TOLD ME SHE CANT SERVICE ME MORE AS A CUSTOMER. WHICH IS RIDICULOUS BECAUSE SHE WAS THE ONE THAT MADE THE ERROR OF SIZING AND DECOR. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THEM SIMPLY BCUZ THEY DONT OFFER RESOLUTION & NOR TAKE OFFER-SHIP FOR THERE MISTAKES…. IN RESPONSE TO SARAH THERE WAS NEVER A MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT PRICING, THE ISSUE WAS WITH LACK OF OWNERSHIP FOR DISCUSSING SIZING WITH THE CAKE. A DISPLAY IN THE WINDOW DOESNT LIST SIZING. Plus the decor for the cake changes prices along with size. So it was a cute response, BUT YOU STILL FAILED TO FULLY DO YOUR JOB AND WALK ME THROUGH THE PROCESS. And it’s okay to admit that. Mistakes are made in business you live and you learn. BUT ITS NOT OKAY TO REJECT CUSTOMERS DUE TO YOUR FAILURE & MISTAKES. And yes I found the perfect cake outside of your company it’s far more beautiful and the sizing is correct ?

Best cakes in town. I will have them bake me a birthday cake a couple times a year. Just because it’s so good. The icing is smooth and creamy. The cake is very moist.
