Went to the Irvington yard sales today and happened across this yummy secret! My first time there and will be going back. Order The Gravy Train and it was amazing!!! I’m very picky about biscuits and gravy and both were amazing! I’ll be back to try their other dishes!
Absolutely creative and delicious!!! Black Owned!!!
First time experiencing the Bouj earlier today. PHE-NOM-E-NAL!! Since it was late morning, I enjoyed their traditional “Gravy Train” menu item. It’s deliciousness was hearty enough to carry me through breakfast & lunch. This will definitely not be my last visit. ❤️
Fast and attentive service while ordering. Menu has options for all tastes without being overwhelming.I had the Clucken hot biscuit.. it was phenomenal. The perfect amount of heat to be spicy but enjoyable.
I absolutely loved this unique concept! The owner was so friendly and great to chat with. The decor was smart and fits in with the vibe. If you love comfort food this will be your cats meow! Everything was devine, from the biscuits which was everything and more that I would want in a biscuit. The gravy was perfect, my frittata was spot on and full of flavor! There so many great things I can say about this restaurant! I love supporting local but especially love supporting Women owned businesses! Your restaurant deserves 10stars because it is perfect the way it is and it's a great value for the price! Thank you for your vision!
On right biscuit and peaches on right biscuit and gravy, both were fantastic and we will return when in town. Staff was polite and very skilled.
First visit to this place. Menu items are all built on biscuits. Mine had a tasty combination of sausage, cheese, bacon, avocado, and doubtless other things I'm forgetting; I think it was called The Farmhouse. Companion got the spicy chicken version and really liked it. Biscuit desserts are also available; we tried the hot peach version, which was also tasty. Sign said the place closes each day at 3:00, so plan for breakfast, brunch, or lunch but not an evening visit.
Cute place in Historic Irvington, wonderful concept wrapping the cuisine around a biscuit for each dish! Hearty portions. I visited in the winter and noticed a snow covered deck that will be great in the warmer seasons, this is a vibrant area and Boujie fits right in.. try it!
Delicious food! The wait was long, but that was due to being short staffed, which many struggle with these days. Had the African Peanut Stew. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, clean.
Sooooo good. I had the African peanut stew and my boyfriend had the dirty monkey because we were feeling adventurous— and both did NOT disappoint!! Mine was so flavorful and if you like savory peanut sauce you’ll love this. My boyfriend’s was so interesting because all of the different flavors hit you throughout your bite and meld so well together despite what you may think when you read banana, chocolate sauce, and bacon— but the smokiness and saltiness of the bacon perfectly compliments the sweetness of the other ingredients, and the cayenne pepper really sets it all off!! Cannot recommend enough.
