I would like to preface this post with the warning that I waitressed for a long time, so I typically provide a lot of grace when it comes to dining because I know how terrible things can be. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was pleased because the hostess was able to get our party of 6 seated immediately, when other restaurants in the area had an hour plus wait time. However, the good experience stopped at the immediate seating. The waitress was inattentive. We waited so long between our drinks being dropped off and the time that we ordered, that I had to go look for her to let her know we were ready to order. We had two small children with us who were starting to get fussy because of the long wait. I had to stand and hold one of them to keep them relatively quiet, which piqued the waitress’ attention. Not so politely, I asked her to get a biscuit, crackers, bread, or SOMETHING to help pacify the children. She brought every single one of those items, but no round plates to eat them on. Drinks were not refilled in a timely manner. We asked three times for a refill on my partner’s drink, to no avail. My partner had to go to the waitress station to get someone to refill it for him. When the food came, only half of it was brought out. The SALADS we had to wait on were brought out several minutes later. Any experienced waitress knows that salads take 7 minutes or less, depending on if there’s meat on top of it. Which leads me to believe that she forgot to put in the salad orders. My daughter’s macaroni and cheese had clearly been sitting under the warmer and was cold. I had a small black hair, that appeared to be a beard hair, on my plate. The waitress’ section was nearly empty, but she had not cleared away or cleaned any of the other tables. When I went to the women’s restroom, it smelled like urine as soon as you opened the door, there was toilet paper on the floors, the mirrors were dirty, and the two of the three stalls were out of toilet paper. The entire time we were there, we never saw a manager. It seems that front of house and back of house staff needs some re-training.

The biscuits was burnt they was hard as a rock . The eggs was not cooked the hash Browns was raw and the gravy tasted like it's been there for 3 days. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at Bob Evans

I stopped in with my family for breakfast the other day. I should mention that I did used to manage a few Bob Evans restaurants so I am aware of their standards. We had a relatively large party and those can always be challenging, we called in advance to notify the staff so they could prepare, I was told they don’t take reservations, and I told him that I just want to make sure they know we are coming to avoid stressing the staff on a Tuesday morning. I noticed upon pulling up that the dumpster was not closed and was attracting birds. Once we got in the restaurant we were not greeted, we had to approach the staff ourselves. The host pointed us to a section cordoned off for us, which was great. The real issues started shortly after the waitress started taking our drink orders. There was no ice coffee, so instead of bringing that for our order, the waitress brought a cup of room temperature coffee with no ice. That was new and pretty disgusting. No apology was offered when this was pointed out, not sure if that’s an Indiana thing, but room temp coffee is gross. Then we started looking around easily finding greasy handprints on the wall. Going into the bathroom was entertaining. They had wet floor signs up, although the floor was dry. It was very obvious that they were cleaning the floor with dirty water or the wrong chemical. It was slicker than an ice rink. The floor around the urinal was absolutely covered in urine. When pointed out the waitress dismissed it as poor air circulation. We didn’t see a manager the entire time we were there, and we were there for over an hour and a half. If there was a manager on site, we would have pointed out the undercooked sausage in our omelette, the hair on our plate, the bug in the fruit salad, and the chemical taste in the hash browns. I want to note the person who are those hash browns became very sick by the next morning. All told, this was beyond disgusting. I always take my family to Bob Evans when we come to town, because I know their standards are typically top notch. Not here. We will never eat here again.

This is one of my most favorite places to go have breakfast or brunch, since childhood! Was a little shocked that we had a 30 min. wait but wasn't disappointed in the service! With all business experiencing short staffing issues, they still have that down home feel and kindness. Plus to my surprise they now serve mimosas and it went very well with my brunch!

The hostess was working her butt off. Our wait was about 15 minutes, which is what she estimated. We sat pretty easily, and got our drinks fairly quickly. I would like to see everybody who gets coffee to also get a water, but I'm not sure if that is a horrible suggestion to a restaurant and they will hate me forever. Our food tasted good, and all the ingredients were fresh and yummy. But personally I would stir the veggies into an omelette instead of a fold over egg sandwich style. This place is always worth it for the banana bread. We didn't have butter on the table, but maybe that was the universe doing my arteries a favor.

Waited 45 minutes past the time I was told my food would be ready. Unfortunately for them, with the added wait time I made note that none of the staff members were washing their hands or using proper PPE. The manager Justin, was extremely unprofessional and refused a refund at request. I used to love Bob Evans, however, I will take my businesses else where. Overall, very disappointed with this location’s customer service and attentiveness . I would advice you to go to another location or all together to take your business elsewhere as well.

The manager Brenda made our visit very stressful? The way she spoke to all the staff was just awful. My husband had to go on out to the car while I finished, afraid he was gonna flip out on her. It seemed to us that they could gave done better without her. On a good note, our server Trina was excellent!! The stars are for staff that has to deal with her

Very disappointed! Tried the new fried chicken breakfast and the chicken was very overcooked. Hash browns were undercooked and sausage gravy had huge clumps in it. Server was good, a little over worked. Will not return.

Food was good but was "sitting in the window for awhile" according to the waitress. Wasn't checked on very often. Didn't get a refill of my drink. Found several hairs in our food AFTER putting it in the take out box (was under the food at the bottom). I can look away at a mistake or two but it was a little bit too much. Giving two stars only because my food was excellent (even if a little cold).

Didn't have a problem with the food but there was one girl working & the manager plus 4 other employees were giggling, joking around. The place is filthy with dust & all kinds of other debris. I did speak with the manager & pointed this out to him before I left because of all the illness / pandemic going on. Could just imagine what the kitchen area where the customer can't see looks like !!! ?I stopped in the next day & spoke with dayshift manager, she tried to use the excuse that they were understaffed and I stopped her & reminded her how many employees were sitting & laughing with the evening manager the night before.?
