Had high hope because this place had great reviews. Take out experience was awful. Ordered at 11:30am on a Wednesday. The food was ETA to arrive at 12:30pm. It arrives at 2pm. My poor dash driver was waiting for nearly and hour and half. Offering me updates more then the actual restaurant. No update or calls came from Blaze. When I called to learn the status I was hung up on after asking a few questions. Seems like they have a lot to figure out from a time management and service aspect. Pizza was good? For being cold I suppose. Never again.
When we first tried this place a few years ago it was great. From there it has had a steady decline...I've had both burnt and undercooked pizzas (raw dough in the middle). Even when obviously burnt they only seem to care if the customer complains. Ingredients are sometimes visibly not so fresh. It can be annoying when you get ingredients you don't want (or can't have due to allergy or diet restrictions) because of how sloppy they are often handled.While the owners note near the top of the review page mentions fast several times, this is always a somewhat slow experience. Do not expect to be in and out in 15min even for a carry out order.Now talking about our June 10th 2022 at about 8:15pm visit specifically... We had a couple in front of us, another at the register, and a few other pizzas in the oven. So, not busy. Especially for a Friday. It still took nearly 15 minutes for them to start our order. Absolutely zero sense of urgency.When they started making the pizzas, the guy building them was super stingy with the ingredients. I had to ask for shredded mozzarella 4 times to still not get a dominos pizza amount of cheese coverage. He used a scooper to portion the first light pass. Then it was literally a pinch at a time. Same stingy portions on all the other ingredients. My wife had exactly the same problem when he built hers. The cheese bread looked nothing like the picture and we will definitely never bother with getting it again.We will probably return but it is going to be even less often since each time the experience gets worse. If the quality was still like it was when we first went, it would probably be a monthly thing.
This was my first time dining in, I usually get it delivered (if I were to rate delivery that I've consumed, it would be a 4 ?). Anyway, walking in it's set up is very akin to Subway except for pizza. The exception is that Subway has a list of their sizes, breads, and toppings, Blaze didn't. The girl that was building the pizzas seemed either new, poorly trained, or didn't want to be there. She was very skimpy on all the toppings (especially for the price of the build your own). They were also out of many things, but again there was no signs or notes letting you know. You go down this line from choosing your type of crust all the way down to the oven where you choose dine-in or to-go, then you pay. When your pizza is done they call you. Also, there are more drink choices than the tiny cooler you pass while going down the assembly line. They have a soda fountain. The pizza was the worst one I've ever had from there, my Mother's was worse (they forgot many toppings for the garlic lovers pizza). All in all, just order delivery. Really feel like the experience was part of the reason why the pizza was depressing.
The service was really slow, Prices OK. The oven is a gimmick. They tried to simulate a wood burning pizza oven but it just is not the same. The Pesto pizza bread was really good.I know that service workers are not paid very well, but I do get turned off when the credit card machine wants me to leave a tip. I mean the restaurant is self serve.
The pizza was edible but I guess... I was expecting good at least. I won't order again, especially at these prices. ? I was disappointed because I wanted to give a positive review and support this business regularly but my pizza had so many problems I feel bad listing them all here. Let's just say it looked and tasted rushed and sloppy. But... it was edible so there's that??♀️
Every visit to this location is always met with good service and great food!
I spent over 16 minutes on the phone trying to provide accurate directions to the delivery person who claimed they had the correct address. By the time we received our food it was cold due to the delivery person walking around searching for our address vs. driving in the middle of winter. It was a very frustrating & unfulfilled experience overall. Please don't use Door Dash for delivering in the future.
My kids ate pizza before eye could take photos. This is the subway of pizza. Made to your liking right in front of you. Oven baked DELICIOUSNESS.....
As a student loved this pizza for years. Never had to ask someone to add more of any topping or sauce until today. Recently visited it, I do not know what was the issue of the server the portions were so so low even after asking for a lit more I taste only the dough bread base. Barely any sauce! my pesto pizza has literally no sauce. Asked for spinach got 3 leaves. Asked for tomatoes got 5 halves of tomatoes. Toppings in one serve are too low dont know whats their issue previously we got a good decent portion size without asking for it.
Great pizza! I recommend for food and quality customer service. This location took good care of me. We are visiting the area for a game and don’t have a car to pickup so we ordered delivery through DoorDash. There was a slight mix up on our order on the DoorDash side of things and they were able to accommodate me and my family anyways. I appreciate their awesome customer service!
