I wont be dining here or any other Thunderdome restaurant again moving forward, but the service tonight was great and so was the food. Used to be a favorite spot of mine (I even had another reservation for next week),but Iâm not going to support this restaurant group after discovering how they treat their current and former employees. Sad and disappointing.
Love Bakersfield, and was taking my friend for her first time, and to catch up before she went back to Ball State for college. She loved it as well, but we could very much tell our server wanted us to be quick in our dining there. He came back to the table not even 2 minutes after we were seated asking for our food order, after I had already told him it was my friends first time. He left and came back about a minute later. Same answer, she was checking the menu while we also caught up briefly. Our appetizer was delivered and he showed up asking how it was right as the man who delivered it was walking away. I told him it looked good but we hadnât gotten a chance to taste it before he popped up. He promptly asked if we were ready to order, again. We put in our order. He did let us enjoy our food, and brought our bills 2 minutes later telling us no rush. Then came back as we finished our last bites asking if our payment was ready yet, and what looked like a manger walked by and cleared our table. What felt odd about it was we werenât there for more than an hour, and had a reservation at 5:30pm on a Thursday. There wasnât anyone ever waiting at the door (we were right next to it, so could see). We just wanted to enjoy our time together and the food and atmosphere.
seasonal cucumber marg was refreshing! Street tacos are legit, especially the fish and Pollo Verde.
Spicy pineapple margarita is a must if you like spicy cocktails, otherwise the regular pineapple margarita is also fantastic. The food is amazing as well, we always get tacos. However, no matter what day we come in, service is super slow.
Best double date spot in town!
Stopped through on my way to Virginia. Definitely a great quick spot to grab a bite. Staff was friendly, food was good, service was excellent also!
Food was terrific, service was great. However, there was no A/C on during a 90 degree day. Only 1 door was open in the back of the restaurant so a promise of a breeze wasnât really an option.
You should have seen my date. Sheeeeeeeeesh.
