I have been a frequent customer of Zante's for the past several years and always enjoyed the food but I am starting to lose interest in this place. The prices are too expensive and the wait times are ridiculous even after calling in 30 minutes prior. The other day I ordered through Door Dash and I didn't receive all of my sandwiches. I called and informed the restaurant and was told that I was charged for one sandwich, not two, even though I have the receipt that says otherwise. I lost 10 dollars. What happened to customer is always right??
we ordered a burger from there and it wasn't cooked all the way still a little bloody inside so we tried to give it another chance and order a Philly cheese steak sandwich on another day and was so disappointed and disgusted. it was greasy and didn't even look appetizing. tossed that crap in the garage. do not recommend
BE AWARE!!!! This establishment DOES NOT OFFER REFUNDS, EVEN IF THEY MESS UP YOUR ORDER!My family and I ordered grilled cheeses with CHEDDAR only like always. Today, they decided to put American and nacho cheese. We called to complain and was offered a slice of cheese. Not sure what to do with a slice of cheese on an already made grilled cheese. The women who answered was really apologetic as she conversed with the cook. Nothing worse than bad food and bad customer service!
I been going here for years. Mostly good service. My last two orders were totally wrong. I called twice. This call the manager refused to speak to me. I live too far to turn around and go back. I am not looking for something free. Just acknowledge your were wrong. The manager was so disrespectful. You lost a few customers behind this

Love this place. When my mom visits me this is our go to restaurant. Can't get enough of the Italian beef sandwich. I love that you can eat their fries after they cool down and even microwave the next day with cheese or bbq sauce on them.
I am originally from Chicago, and I hate to admit I have been pretty disappointed with the restaurant choices in the Hammond area. However, I discovered Zartes yesterday and this the best Gyro I have had ever! Give this place a shot, you won’t regret it!
I've heard about the delicious food at Dante's Restaurant over the years's and finally got a chance to go there today!I was out door dashing and I finally found this place while picking up a delivery.They are definitely a busy place and they knocked out the lunch rush easily.The service and staff are friendly and great!I came back to have the Italian sausage combo.By far 1 of the best Italian sausage sandwich I've ever ate.Charbroiled perfection!Thanks, I'll definitely be back soon!
They have excellent food and great prices. I drive 40 minutes to eat there just for their fish. Especially the cat fish dinner!! So fresh and so good!! They really pile on the sides and two good size pieces of catfish!! I can never eat it all!!
Zantes is my favorite stands alone sub shop ! I live 150 miles away. Every time I'm in Hammond I get 2 King combo subs .One to eat ,one to take home ! Although they are not immune from rising prices ,I stlll think it's a good value! The bread is good, plenty of meet , cold use a bit more cheese. The staff is attentive and polite! I will continue to patronize them.
