This place is joke every time I go no chicken no apple pies no chicken sandwiches. Staff is deplorable.
Only 2 people working and had a huge line. I did not mind waiting but they need more help at this location because it took forever. The food was good and made fresh which I appreciated. They did not give us utensils or napkins so had to wait again to get those. The southern rice was bland and but tasty at all. I would definitely come back just wish they had more employees to make the more bearable.
This place is always impressively bad- They are out of most of their menu at any given time. Today it was chicken tenders, mac n cheese, large drink cups, Coke and Dr. Pepper- they were out of them all. I couldn't get a single item from my original order. Call it Chef's Choice I guess? Because of the terrible management, the employees are always sullen and work slow as hell. I feel bad for them, honestly. I hope they figure something out, the chain is usually good and it would be nice to have a functioning Popeye's in the neighborhood!
Throughout the pandemic the staff chose to keep the lobby closed at this location. No reason or explanation given they just kept the lobby closed. Today I tried to order from the drive thru and when I pulled up to order the person with the headset on yelled “the drive thru is closed today” If this location is short on staff or has register issues, or if equipment breaks down or whatever the issues are please learn how to tell your customers this information in a better way. You all talk to your customers terribly and you all have terrible attitudes but it must be because you all don’t like your job. That’s not the customers fault. Does Popeyes even have a training program for employees? Make everyone at this location do the customer service training all over again!!!!
I was not happy with my order yesterday and didn’t even get a receipt to know who may be partially responsible. My order was inaccurate. There’s no customer service. The cashier yesterday was not attentive with a poor attitude. There’s always a line at this location and they are very slow. My food wasn’t even hot. The only positive is that they provided without me asking different sauce packets. If you can, go elsewhere.
If I could give this place a -5 stars I would. I just waited in the drive through line for 30 minutes and nothing. NOTHING! Not even a "Hi please give is a minute we are understaffed." ANYTHING would've been better than nothing. Before today though, I went there ar 11:00 AM to get the Popeyes chicken sandwich and they don't have it. Then I went there again another day at 8:00 PM and they told me they are out of chicken, mashed potatoes or fries. What kind of chicken place runs out of chicken?????!!!!!!! And they closed at 10:00 PM. Did they really run out of chicken or are they just too lazy to put more food to cook? I understand that lots of places are understaffed but it can not be to this extreme. Why haven't corporate come and do something about this place already?
Worst Popeyes I’ve ever been to. I was here months ago and the lobby was closed so I had to go through the drive thru. I waited 30 minutes for my food and it’s months later and it’s still the same problem. If you’re looking to eat in a hurry I don’t recommend coming here at all. They need to close this place down in all honesty or hire new managements . This is ridiculous.
This location needs better workers. Don't waste your time coming in through the drive thru. YOU WILL BE LEFT WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET YOUR ORDER! I waited for about 5 minutes, and asked if anyone was available. No one answered back, so I decided to go inside. Unfortunately, once I parked and walked up to the door, it was locked. This only makes me conclude that the workers here are lazy, and need someone who has managerial skills.
I used to go to the one in Hammond and never had an issue, just a 20 minute ride at least. Then to my surprise they opened this location. I was overjoyed, but that didn't last long. I've experienced I'd say 85% of the issues other reviewers have stated about this location. It's literally 4 minutes from my house. Now if I really want Popeye's, I drive back to the store in Hammond 20 min away. This place is shameful. As a footnote, I've seen two of the managers used to work at the now closed Calumet City location, What a coincidence.
I will never go back to this location again. They wouldn't accept a coupon I had that wasn't expired an they only took exact money for the purchase causing me to use my debit card really who has exact change.
