On a two times that I have experience eating at this place everything has been very good truly enjoyed the pork chop plate. And the soup!!!
The food was good but the service was Not. We had a waitress who was more concerned with gossip than her job. She dropped the food and ran away didn't ask if we needed anything else. She just left. Had to ask another waitress for coffee only to be told it's not my section. Wow. And it wasn't CHEAP $35 with tip. I'm sorry but I'm going back to Sunrise in Whiting even though the coffee is not that good. There service is WAY BETTER THAN THIS HIGH PRICED JOINT.
Tonight was my first time here. The staff was great super friendly I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was great with great prices. There was a big round of pay it forward in the restaurant tonight it was amazing !
Great soup selection, Saturday they usually serve Navy bean or lemon rice, both choices are amazing. Tasty dinner comfort food!
The wife and I stopped here after church for the first time. The food was delicious.Also the price was super reasonable.Our waitress was a sweetheart. Our bill was 25dollars for 2 meals and my wife tipped her 15 dollars because of her good service.we'll be back
Johnel's restaurant is one of my favorite places to dine in they have breakfast, lunch and dinner anytime food is so good and the customer service is unbelievably great so friendly and helpful everytime and the prices is so reasonable I'll come here all the time now I've told some of my friends and family and they agree with me this is one of the best places to go eat and they have paper menus Lol I love it.
