This was my first time visiting this establishment. We were celebrating à graduation. Our waitress was not friendly; and acted disturbed and hostile, when asked questions, regarding items on the menu. She appeared to be very irritated. Not sure, if it was a racial thing or if she had had an hectic day. Either way, she needs coaching on how to mask her issues/frustrations and provide the exceptional customer service, that customers expect. Especially, with everything being so expensive, you would think she would've appreciated the business and expressed that with her attitude and actions! We ordered 4 pizzas and 4 different styles of the chicken wings. The pizza was not bad, but the chicken was the best. I believe she thought we weren't going to leave her a tip, which we should'nt have. I noticed after we paid our bill and she noticed she had a décent tip, she answered our questions without as much hostility. Despite my visit not being pleasurable, I will give this business another try. Hopefully, the customer service will be exceptional from start to finish!
Here's a very nice place they have dinner. Their Pizza is a thin crust and is very delicious. Appetizers were also very good we had the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread. At past visits we've also had the broasted chicken which is a can't-miss. Very comfortable restaurant as our server was very attentive to our needs and brought the food out hot. If you're in the area definitely give House of Pizza a try!
Overrated. I am originally from Chicago and know good pizza when I taste it. Maybe everybody was there for something else, but their pizza was just average. This is my son’s favorite place for pizza and there were so many people waiting for pick up, I thought it had to be great! There was a 30 minute wait on top of the time they told us it would be ready. Again, it’s just average tasting pizza to me
I know not many people eat Shrimp topping on their pizza but I love it with garlic. The problem is that it's been a whole month and a half since they keep saying they're out of Shrimp topping. Instead of saying they're not using it no more on pizza they lie. Dishonest business, no more of my money going towards them
Very easy to see from either side of street nice size menu. Pizza is great. Chili is great. Stay busy and packed so have 10 minutes to wait to be seated. But overall a great food experience
House of Pizza has HORRIBLE customer service and and management staff have very nasty attitudes. My family and I came to this establishment to celebrate my mother’s birthday. I called early in the day to ask if we could reserve the back area for a large party and I was told it was “first come first serve”. So I made sure to arrive early enough to get the area. Once my mom and our guest arrived and began to order food we were told we needed to “Be quiet” and then later a manager came up to some our guest, with an attitude, and said, “You need to move”. I observed that she was trying to seat another party, however we were nowhere near done eating or celebrating but it was clear that they wanted us to leave because they started bringing out to-go boxes. They NEVER have to worry about my family and I patronizing their establishment. I hate to say their actions were racially motivated but it sure seems that way
Great place. Good food and a family-friendly menu. Drinks are strong, so be careful. Food comes out fast and hot. Pizzas are better at restaurant than delivered but Still quite tasty. Sit at the bar if you can.Very generous portions.
When ya just need to have a pizza made with love and personality, ya gotta go to the House Of Pizza. From thin to thick meats to veggies the toppings are fresh and savory with plenty spread around the pie. My favorite is the thin crust Sausage and Mushroom. It is a flavor that satisfies the soul when it is made right and the House of Pizza Nailed it !!! Only 2 or 3 blocks away from the Hammond Sports Complex, it's a perfect place for the teams to go and celebrate their wins or lessons for the day of play. Take time out to visit this well established family owned cornerstone of the community and get of taste of the Hammond Hospitality with servers that smile even when doing side work like silverware, and managers that stop what their doing to greet a customer request and make sure that everything is satisfactory. The bar is a nice size and even if the Za is not what you desire, they have plenty of other great Italian flavors to tickle the tongue, bring peace to your mind, and and just allow you to embrace the "Ahhh" of the day.
One of the best places to get pizza in Hammond. Papa Johns ain't got nothing on this place.
I ordered a BBQ burger and a cup of chili to go. $20.00. That price would be acceptable if the food wasn’t terrible. Brown French fries, very dark brown, burnt tasting onion rings, brown lettuce and less than a half teaspoon of BBQ sauce. The burger was well done and as dry as dust. The coleslaw was warm. It’s obvious to me the fries and onions rings were dropped in the fryer to heat a second time. The burger was probably cooked ahead of time too. This way, the four or five teenagers left to man the kitchen only need to reheat things. No more HOP for me. The pizza has been awful for a long time, I quit ordering them. I should’ve known better. I honestly don’t understand how they’re still in business, nothing is fresh.
