I asked for a double bacon cheeseburger and the Cashier got confused and she thought I said eight double bacon cheeseburgers. While being on the phone she did not initially tell me how much the double bacon cheeseburgers were. The total came up to $94. A means 1. When you pronounce eight you hear the letter T. When I got there and she rung me up, we both look completely confused. I stated to hear I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger. She then called the owner up there and the owner pretty much insult me stating that I did not know how to speak English. I feel like he got away with it due to me being a black woman. I told him that A means one not eight. Horrible customer service. You do not fight with the customer. Customer is always right.
We got a gyro it tasted unseasoned and not like real gyro meat. Other than that, the service was good and speedu and the fries were good.
It has changed from when we would go over the years. Not sure if different Cooks, but the food was not good.
The Columbia Gyro on Columbia Ave. food is great but I’m guessing the guy who’s the owner is very rude. I for one I don’t eat sauce on any meat but polish or hotdog. Not even my bbq ribs or chicken. I go and order 5 wings which came out to $16. I get my food it’s bbq sauce on it. I take it back in and say hi I ordered plain he says no you said bbq. For one I didn’t even go in there with an attitude but him telling me what TF I said gave me one, I know how I eat my food and I know what I said. He says well you can wait 15 mins or get your money back. He so disrespectful I will NEVER be back EVER
If ever I'm in Hammond I always go here for my Gyros they have the best gyros in Indiana to me
Went through the drive thru and ordered a rib tip dinner. The rib tips were really tender but the bbq sauce wasn't the greatest - tasted like open pit and was not a thick sauce, but more watered down. The fries were hot and good and so was the soup (lemon rice).
If you like gyro, Columbia Gyro has the best combination of good price and good taste. Their feta is not the richest tasting feta that I've ever had and their tomatoes and onions are such a disappointment that I throw them in the trash, but their gyro meat and pita bread are tasty, and their price can't be beat. We buy two platters for about $28, and one platter is a full meal for our family of six (all children under 12). The second platter is our Sunday lunch after church.
Food is always on point but that new cashier needs to be trained on customer service.
Fast and tasty. Gyros plate is delish, enough for 3 people! The double cheeseburgers are the bomb. When in the area it's a must.
Italian roast beef and sweet peppers very good more plenty of meat and the fries large is a large
