This Is a hidden gem in the Center Grove area. They are known for their Deep dish Pizza and Italian Beef. My experiences have only been with their lunch menu. They have a condensed lunch menu of about 8 choices which are reasonably priced at $9 each which include drink. They have a pizza option, salad option, pasta options and beef sandwich option.For the lunch options there is minimal wait. Easily can go during my lunch break without worrying about time or going broke.
I’m not one to write reviews but I actually googled this place to specifically write one! It's the very best pizza I’ve had!! I’ve had the deep dish and the thin and both amazing!! We also love the soft breadsticks with Parmesan and the salads!! We now order this on a weekly basis!! SO GOOD!!!
Love to support small business. Their pizza reminds me of home up near Chicago. I enjoy there Chicago style decor and even that they support local beers from up around that area.
We're from the Chicagoland area and South of Chicago has nailed it...the pizza and other items on their menu are right on! You can never go wrong with this restaurant if you really like a Chicago-style pizza or Italian beef...nothing else comes close to it down here in Indiana. Try it, you'll see!
Generous portions, great service and the portions are plenty. Spaghetti and meatballs are the very best
We were in the location for work and the owner openly welcomed us into the restaurant without expecting us to buy anything instead of sitting outside. Of course we did get food and it was amazing:) we spent hours here outside on my computer, while my sun played on his bike in the area. No one was there at the time. VERY KIND MAN!
Not Ever Here Again!!!!Support Your Other Local Restaurants….We thought we’d try somewhere new other than the same old National Brands. We spent $76.00 with South of Chicago Pizza & Beef. I have never sent a Review for anything, but this Place is Bad… The Salad was Brown and Conveniently hid under the Cheese. We Received a Refund from Door Dash on it…Then we had the Fried Raviolis… They were worse... They had a Mush of something in them and the Ravioli Pastry was like Cardboard. The Pizza, was absolutely nothing special. We won’t be ordering from there again… It was too late for the Raviolis to ask for a Refund… Hope this Helps. Don’t waste your Money like I did…!!!
If you are a Chicago sports team fan or a fan of Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza then look no further. Everywhere you turn there is a banner, sign or picture of Chicago sports team. The best one is a panoramic view of downtown Chicago. We ordered the Loaded Fries appetizer, and devoured it. The crispy fries which had a soft pillowy center was coated in a cheese sauce and homemade bacon bits. It was so delicious that we couldn't stop eating it. We ordered the Meat Lovers Deep Dish Pizza and it was delicious. There was bacon, Italian Sausage, pepperoni and ham covered in a very flavorful tomato sauce, and the cheese had the right amount of pull. Our son ate the Pepperoni Deep Dish Pizza and loved it. He said it had lots of cheese and pepperoni, and enjoyed the flavorful tomato sauce as well. A friendly staff as well.
Everything about this place is amazing! My fiance and I go here often since we stumbled upon it. The pizza is AMAZING! This is real Chicago pizza here! We are from the Chicago area and the decor makes us feel at home. The staff is super friendly and caring, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend!
Normally if I order from here the food quality is decent enough. A bit overpriced and not nearly on the same level as giordanos or Lou malnatis for Chicago deep dish pizza. The service here needs a lot of work. The online ordering system is a complete joke. I’ve ordered online twice and have been burned both times. Both times I made my order online, when I got to the store to pick up the pizza, the cashier was confused and couldn’t find my order. Who I assume was the owner showed her where my order ticket was and she quickly rang me up. Since I ordered online 20 minutes before I arrived to get the pizza I thought it’d be read or almost ready. It was not. When I got there to pick my order up was when they actually received my order and began to prepare it. So after she took my money, she then told me it’s be a 30 minute wait. What is the point of ordering online in advance just to arrive for pick up and they haven’t even received or began preparing the online order. Very frustrating and irritating. This is 2 times this has happened. I doubt I’ll be going back.
