I stick to Mexican restaurants that have lunch menus and this place does not so we don’t frequent it from a price stand point. Leon’s is our favorite!We love puerto’s chips though.
I rated this place a 1 star because the service was terrible. The server only checked on us once and it took us forever to get water, salsa, and silverware. But the food was pretty good. I just think the service needs to improve a tun. And they need to train there staff better, because they didn't even know there own menu.
It takes alot to leave me unimpressed. We were seated and no one came by to take our drink order for a long time. The chips were hard. Finally our food came, my taco was really mushy (like not edible), my wife's meal was soupy as well. The waiter didn't check on us the entire time. When the waiter brought the check he noticed we hadn't taken more than a few bites, I explained we were less than impressed with the food. He apologized but made no offer to get a manager or comp the bill etc. We won't be back.
This is my go-to Mexican place on the south side. Food is always great & reasonably priced. Beer is big and cold. Service is phenomenal.
This is my first review I’ve ever written. BUT, THE SERVICE HERE IS AMAZING!! Everyone is so kind and quick and efficient! We sat down at 1pm on a Sunday, had refills of chips and drinks brought, and our food was out by 1:08!! Amazing place and very tasty food!
Ordered carry out about an hour ago. Ordered the Burrito Puerto Vallarta Beef. On the menu it says it comes with lettuce, refried beans, and rice. All 3 of those were missing from the sad, pathetic, soggy excuse for a burrito I was given. Salsa spilled into the bag and made a mess. This place used to be great before COVID, but has gone downhill the past few years. Will not be coming back.Couldn't take the food back as I am working.
I do not recommend this place. Chicken in my chimi was dry, gave me 2 spoonfuls of rice….our sever was more interested in playing bartender than taking care of his tables. I flagged a worker down and asked for some more sweet tea…he brought it back all right….without adding any ice to it. Sooo….to sum it up….small portions, dry food, disinterested servers.
1st time here. Loved it. Service was great. Margaritas are a must try. Food was delicious.
Love the tacos! I have been looking for the type of tacos they have since my last place went out of business. The service is a bit on the low side however.
