My son worked at a McAlisters deli a few years ago. So, we used McAlisters rehearsal dinner. It was amazing! It made the evening very relaxed. No worries enough food for everyone. Multiple food choices ? ? everybody was so helpful with the ordering process. The reversal dinner was 3 hours away from us. We were fortunate with the McAlisters right down the road from the rehearsal dinner spot. The food was great.
So went to McAlister's on 135 in Greenwood for a quick meal last week. When we went in there was a line, which is no problem, but they only seemed to have one register open, despite having a ton of staff people behind the counter. Then I notice what was going on. There were three teenage staff people having a very social conversation by one of the registers. They were totally oblivious to the customers who were waiting. Finally, their conversation came to an end, and they finally recognized that they needed to do some work, and take our order. They young man who took our order obviously was not well trained, and he wasn't used to listening. My wife had to repeat the order two or three times before he got it right. She ordered a sandwich and a salad, not a tough order. When our food came, it was basically right, and the food tasted good, but the lack of training for the counter staff, and the lack of attention to the customer's needs; definitely hurt our experience. We like McAlister's, and will certainly eat there again. But, you can't treat customers the way we were treated.
Got sick from catered salad. Nasty brown looking lettuce but it was too late by the time i saw it. Terrible.
I have always liked The food, today well not so good. First time ordering Mac and cheese which is cold. I tried ordering steam broccoli and cheese which I’ve gotten before at several locations. The Italian sandwich well let’s say looks can be deceiving. The order taker was a bit long winded, I guess that would be okay but when you inform them you are on lunch break and need to hurry doesn’t mean continue for several minutes talking about why they can’t put cheese on broccoli.
Stopped by today for lunch with the wife & there was an employee named Mason & I just wanted to stop by here and say how great of an employee he is! Was very helpful with everything! Will definitely return, thanks McAlisters Deli for always having great customer service & food!
Compared to Panera, with its itsy bitsy portions, McAlisters is a gold mine. Sandwiches are always prepared fresh and quickly. Portions are good, and food is tasty. The kids who work there are always really friendly and helpful.
Good food, Clean establishment, very friendly and competent staff.
If you are going to post new “winter hours” on your door, Change your hours on websites and apps. I wouldn’t have drivin 35 minutes had the hours been properly posted.
Waited forever for meals to be delivered to our table after ordering at the counter. When finally delivered both meals were ice cold. I took mine back to counter, kitchen had massive stacks of delivery boxes on the pass through, obviously door dash takes precedence over in-restaurant customers. I’m not a big fan of McAlisters, but this has to be one of the worst run restaurants in the chain.
Clean, welcoming environment. Food is delicious but portions are small. Would definitely recommend for a light lunch. Prices are somewhat high for the amount of food received but the quality of the food makes up for it. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.
