Please make sure that you check your pizza before you leave. If not, they will not correct the error unless you bring the pizza back. I purchased a pizza for someone that lives 2 hours away. Yes, I should have checked the pizza before I left. However, the expectation is that business are supposed to give your the order that you pay for. Even though this was an error on their part, I am now losing my hard earned money.
Something changed at Rico's , maybe the times we live in , or the on going pandemic, or maybe just a lack of business. Clearly something isn't right, I was not at all a happy customer after receiving my order for just a large chicken salad. It shrunk big time from almost not being able to close the lid to where is the salad ! Am I nit picking I don't think so when the price was not reduced. Surprised I was to see what I saw. I'm one whom brags on what's good, what size portions are served, quality of order, wait staff friendliness to name a few. Maybe it was just a bad day, l will go back and see if its consistently like what I was was served or what. Stay tuned for my follow up.
Being from Chicago I have to say their thin crust sausage and mushroom pizza is delicious, it tastes similar to Reggio's pizza. I've also had both flavors of the cheese curds and Cajun fries and they're all delicious!! What I didn't like is their slices of pizza, yuck-too much dough, not enough pepperoni, sausage, or cheese for that matter. The crust was just way too thick and doughy with no flavor and the toppings were ok, but you could barely taste the flavor of the toppings because of the too thick dough. If the dough is going to be thick, it should have flavor to it and there should be more meat, cheese, etc on top. Other than that, they're pretty good; I will NOT eat their pizza slices anytime soon though ?.
As always the best Italian beef sandwich ever! I don't even live in Gary no more but when I come home food is my first stop!Also Jordan kept me company while I ate as I was tired and finna get on the road. Such a good kid ! I appreciate that ❤️
I won't be back here anymore. White lady in front SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!. It was disappointing that I couldn't even get my issue resolved. I ordered a cheese pizza and they gave me the worst plain tomato sauce , breading,seasonings and cheese there was in the kitchen. NO flavor at all!!!!!!! Paid $25 for a jumbo pizza and ate 4 bites and threw it to my pits? ?.She said I only can eat one bite. It was 3 ppl that got a slice ND I had to take nother bite to see is they really kidding me!!!! My dogs was happy for it.. Didn't want anyone with good taste eating that disgusting pie. Very upset with there NEW management. If white lady and Mexican guy only on shift just know it's not same pizza? as when the black ppl hook us up when they on shift. Hope they get shut down and a black owner reopen this place with better customer service. It makes money fasure being right next to a liquor store and phone store.
I have visited this place, The Works, at first and ordered a pizza with everything.Firstly, I was very surprised about the price which is around 30$ for a medium pizza.I thought that the size and taste would match this price, but the reality turned out to be the opposite for this price.Apart from this, this pizza is not adapted for convenient eating. It was cut into such small pieces that I felt like it was made for the pigs.Also I want to add that I Live in New York where the taxes and rent are greater in 6 times. However the pizza would be much tasty, bigger and cheaper. It’s price would be around 20$.For the owners:If you would like to earn money you should make the pizza in a right way
Their pizza is the best I've had in a long time! Everything is evenly distributed and baked to perfection! I would reccomend Ricos to anyone who loves pizza!
omg this pizza hit the spot. walking distance from the truck stop and reasonable prices. will be back when we roll thru Gary :)
If good pizza is your thing this is not it. I did appreciate the friendly staff though.....hoping the signature dish is not the pizza.
placed an order for delivery at 7:13pm was told it would be a hour and 5 minutes. an hour 40 mins the order has yet to arrive they close in 7 minutes. I'm sure my pizza will be cold when it does arrive if it arrives. use to love this place it has fell off in the last year.update i just received my pizza at 9pm its cold and i ordered chicken which the box was marked but i dont see one piece. this pizza sat for 45mins before it was delivered
