I bought me and my daughter some food here but plain and simple this place needs a new cashier the black girl with braids, glasses was very rude she messed up my order. She probably could have got my order right if she had not rushed me to give me what she wanted to give me so, I brought the food back she tried to tell me that I ordered "Catfish" I eat catfish fillets and when she decides to give me a Fillet fried hard it was poorly seasoned and battered. I won't be back I'm straight
I'm from SC. I ordered the catfish combo and wings then another order of bombers and 2 pieces of catfish.I get to my truck, this looks like big pieces of pork chop. I fish weekly and catfish doesn't look like this. I took it back and told him that my bombers weren't included either. I paid over $38.The guy at the register said they were catfish steaks. I f . Didn't order that. I'm wanting catfish like regular catfish with bones in it. Left and still don't have the bombers. He replaced the fish with 3 more wingsNow I'm too mad to eat
I was very disappointed with the food and the price. We ordered 2lg Catfish dinners and a side of fried okra. The cost was $38+On the app it listed the dinner for $10.+ and the Okra $2.99The batter was falling off the fish, the fries looked re-fried.I'm not used to that type of food or service at that location. What happened? Very confused ?
Not the same JJS, fish was not as fresh as it used to be. We paid almost $40.00 for 2 lg.Catfish dinners and a side offried okra. We're done.Oh prices on the internet are a lot more economic. Online menu needs to be updated.That price was $10.69 for a lgCatfish dinner.
I absolutely love ? the food here. The plate is a decent size and the food is very well seasoned. Will be visiting again anytime I'm in Chicago.
Place does have some good food but they are a lil rude. I guess they know they going to make money ether way because the truckers. Fish is fine but there are a few things that was not good at all, like the calamari. It had no taste at all, well no seasoning it seem like. Crazy part most hole in the wall places have good food and great personality this just didn’t have both on lock. Food gets 3 stars and place gets 1. I wouldn’t bother with it. There is a place on door dash Fishermans island way better.
The food was absolutely amazing and delicious! It was fast hot and fresh n although I enjoyed every bite it still did not appreciate the rudeness of the chick who took my order! I did not chose cashier for her but she sure acted like I did! So I had to take a star just because she , in my younger more immature days would have caught these down south hands! Peace and light!
OTR team drivers here. Food was great, they are delicious! I will recommend you to get the jumbo shrimp and wings combo. It was really good. BUT the cashier was not nice and have no patience when we ordered our food.
The quality and taste of your meal comes down to if you get the cook that cooks everything in the same grease or not. Some cooks do, some cooks don’t. Depends on the day. Good luck
I was killings few days at the pilot in Gary while my show was in Chicago and decided to pop in. The staff was nice. The food was really good. Fries were great. So much shrimp in the large platter. The cod was crisp and juicy and the oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had. Why 4 stars? No tarter sauce or cocktail sauce was included. Other than that I would have given 5 stars. Definitely will be back when passing through.
