I have been there at least 4 times, I am leaving 2 stars bc:1. The rolls that we order each time turns out different. (No consistency at all)2. If you compare to other sushi places like Koto or Asakusa, you don't get much of sushi at Shoccu out of your money. (i was surprised how little the slice was on top of our sushi).[Granted when we first went there... they did provide solid pieces but the more we go it was not the case]
Delicious food, great service and a good price. It is a little out of the way for me but me and my friends will be making the trek again and again. It was so good I've already started telling friends about it. Portions were bigger than expected without being overbearing heaps. Highly recommend.
Visited recently for dinner on Saturday evening - food was good but service was lacking. Had to wait a bit after sitting down until the server came to the table. After getting our food, the server never came back to check on us to see if we needed anything. Had to wait a long time to pay the check. Seems the server was concentrating on preparing all the TO GO orders.
Unfortunately one of the rolls we ordered (salmon festival) had some kind of plastic wrap in it, and my boys had three pieces which all had the plastic. We are lucky they did not choke! It was very disturbing watching them pull these pieces out of their mouths. I took a picture, but also shared this with our server. She took one piece of plastic and spoke with the chef. She came back and said they would make another roll. By the time it arrived we were finished and not in the mood for anymore so we got it to go. We received no more apologies, no reduced price, and an $80 bill. Disappointed is an understatement. I kept the plastic pieces in a napkin. Contacted them, and no response.
Bibimbap in the stone bowl! Sooooo good. The Cherry Blossom roll is also delicious. Highly recommend.
The best we have had! If you go get the playboy rolls! The atmosphere is great especially the owners and our waitress was AMAZING!! Highly recommend and don’t judge a book by its cover for it being next door to a Great Clips!!
The food was great to me. Very spicy and flavorful. So many places seem afraid yo season food. I think it was the owner whp came out yo check and see ee erre happy with it. Very friendly and fair prices. If you are used to chain restaurant food, this may not be for you. But of you like spice and vegetables that are not overcooked or soft and mushy give them a try. I was there on a trip. I cannot eat there often. Bit when I get back to Fort Wayne I am going there again.
The sushi is delicious & our kids loved the pan fried noodles. The Cherry Blossom Roll is one of our favorites.
The spicy bibimbap was amazing. We would recommend it to everyone. The service is friendly and fit
Best Japanese food I have had so far. Lots of vegetarian options. Korean glass noodles, vegetable Tempura were really good.
