Customer service was good place was nice and neat but the food Not a fan. The brisket tasted like roast beef Very dry. The ribs was OK that’s about it. And the pulled pork was OK. And the sausage was OK ..The sides was okay wouldn’t recommend I guess if there wasn’t nothing else I might try again but I would not go out of my way for this place ? I was sad because I was expecting better.
I got the pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and the potato casserole. I would not eat here again. The portion of meat was small and plain. The Mac n cheese was good the first few bites but the green chili's quickly overpowered the flavor, not to mention it was very soupy with cheese. I was absolutely NOT a fan of the potato casserole. The corn flakes made it weird. Also soupy, and I couldn't bear continuing to eat this as the flavor mad me want to gag. I might eat the pulled pork again but that's the only thing I'd eat.
This was the first time we took our teenage boys here, and, like me, they believe these are the best wings in town!!! The Mad Anthony's beers on tap offer a great opportunity to try new beers! You can't go wromg with any of the wings, but the dry rub are my favorite! The fries are very good as well, plus the ambience is fun! I have been here many times and have always been impressed with the service and food. Don't like wings? Try the nachos [1/2 order is plenty] or the Big Shig Pig [who knew smoked bologna would make a pulled pork sandwich even better?].
I got the pulled pork/bologna sandwhich and cam honestly say this was the best pulled pork I’ve ever had
Had guest from out of state. Decided to try Shigs In Pit BBQ. Everyone chose a different meal, so we could have a taste. The pulled pork was excellent, ribs generous and tasty. The chicken and turkey and brisket were moist and flavorful. Side dishes were generous and yummy. Our guest were impressed and definitely full when we left. Would highly recommend Shigs In Pit for your next dining experience!
Anytime I'm in the area, I dine here! Great BBQ and service.
My personal favorite BBQ spot in town. A little pricey, but worth it in my opinion. I typically alternate between brisket and pulled pork with the spoon corn bread as a side. Nice patio during the summer, solid bar, food always comes out pretty quick.
Food is good and the service is great. Love coming in to get my Growler and Howler refilled. The guy always working the bar is fantastic (I wish I knew his name to give him credit!). After filling both, he always holds onto them in the chiller while my family and I eat. I love sitting outside and drinking a few beverages once it warms up. Dining areas are always clean and inviting.
During the summer we were here almost weekly. The cheesy potatoes with cornflakes on top are the way to go. They have a large outdoor patio that can seat almost as much as the indoor area. You get a frisbee with kids meals most of the time which is a win.
And hour drive well worth it for burnt ends that are actually smoked correctly ? apple pie baked beans and smoked Mac with a little heat from the jalapeños!!! By far my favorite BBQ spot.
