We love this place normally, come a few times a month and invite family too, but we had our first bad experience today. The waitress did not return for 30+ mins, if she were busy we would understand but she was just sitting off to the side messing around on her phone, so our waters set empty for quite some time. Our sushi took forever as well, we watched to other parties sit at the rail and get their food before us. Eventually I walked to the rail just to see if it was coming soon, as we were on a time crunch and behold it was just sitting there getting warm and the bartender was less than nice. I offered to carry my own food back to the table so she wouldn’t have to leave her guests unattended. She responded “oh NO. I’d HATE for you to drop it.” The sarcasm was palpable. I work in the restaurant business as well and would suggest the server, Sharan, just needs more training time.
Sushi: sauces on the sushi were on the sweeter side. Combination of avocado, cream cheese, and fried exterior is greasy. You may find your stomach slightly upset after eating just a couple pieces.Their tempura is light and crisp, quite delectable.
Worst restaurant in Fort Wayne and not bc the food was nasty but because their managers and whole entire staff are racist and have poor customer service ! A waiter that worked there has already said they refer to us as Canadians and give us a service charge no matter how big the party is . Well guess what i experienced it first hand today. Me and my two other sisters were charged a service charged today . And also when it was just me and my best friend they gave us a service charge . He tried to tell us it was bc of the pandemic and that it was store policy but store policy is group of 6 or more are charged with service charges. I will never eat here again and i wont rest this case until sapporos is out of business . Most disgusting thing ever !
Sapporo is a very racist restaurant!! They refer to black people as Canadians and automatically assume just bc your black you don’t tip!! The customer service is soooo poor especially from management!! They will never get another cent from me
Me and a few friends went to this place the food was excellent the chef was perfect very nice, But the server was very rude and racist I never been to a place where the server told me if you don't like it you can't get your money back we don't accept anything back like we can't afford it ? He served us dirty dishes I had to exchange my plate twice he never looked at any of us in the eye he always acted irritated by our presence. Even my family who arrived a couple of minutes late noticed it and they wanted to talk to management but I said no let's just enjoy ourselves. But overall the food was great the fried lobster roll was excellent I will be back hopefully not on the day he works..
They would get the 5th star if they had the traditional hibachi yummy sauce. Besides that everything is top notch. Very prompt and polite server's and friendly chefs.
My family of five including the birthday girl who turned 14 went for dinner on 4-8-22; was about a 25min wait. Our server was Tricia D. and she was fantastic. She gave options, answered questions and was very pleasant. Food was delicious & came to table in the right amount of time. My youngest daughter, grandson (kids meal portion with no vegetables) and I had the hibachi dinners (we all had leftovers); my granddaughter had the salmon bente box- good variety & amount of food and oldest daughter had the sushi deluxe. Looking forward to going back again.
We have not been to Sapporo's in a year. Tonight we visited there for our son's birthday. The quality of the service, food, staff, and service is outstanding. We highly recommend Sapporo's. We had a great time.
Had the Hibachi experience. Not cheap, depending on what you prefer. Shown here Filet mignon, shrimp and Lobster $40, soup and salad. Taste good and clean.
Their food is always soooo amazing. One of my only complaints about this place is that some of the chef's don't put on much of a show as others leaving you watching a different table over yours, but other than that the food comes out amazing every single time. The sushi is always on point as well.The Wife and I love coming here. If you haven't gone, GO!
