Food was rich and flavorful. It is high end, so many items are expensive, but there are cheaper items on the menu too. Sushi was fresh, and the bento box gave a wonderful sampling of Chicken Teriyaki / sushi / spring roll / Crab Rangoon. Noodles were excellent as well. Nice ambiance and attentive wait staff4.8/5 stars
An awesome lunch experience. It was my first time eating at this restaurant and I was impressed. We got there a bit early for lunch, around 11:40 and they seemed somewhat unprepared at that moment, but after waiting a few minutes to be seated, everything else was fantastic.I had the shrimp bento box, which included the clear soup, which was an excellent choice. The server was outstanding and couldn't have been better. We will be back.
Had an amazing dinner at Saisaki. Great food, awesome service, ambiance was fantastic.
Check out my visit here: https://youtu.be/qEwKA3YdSiU I spent a day to myself and found myself curious enough to try a new dine in reasturaunt, which led me here. From start to finish, the staff was really inviting and open to having a conversation with me. The atmosphere had great lighting, the music wasn't overbearing, and it smelled amazing. I ordered the crab rangoon by recommendation of the sushi chef and was very pleased with the presentation and taste. I paired my appetizer with two sushi rolls, both of which were rolled perfect and presented in the shape of a heart ❤️ highly recommend this place and look forward to seeing the staff again! ?
This spot has been on our list for a few months now so we made reservations for hot pot to celebrate a birthday. The Hot Pot experience did not disappoint. Saisaki has only been open less than a year and it exceeded our expectations. We ordered Hot Pot for 2 which was easily enough food for 4 people. Sashimi was our appetizer and the fish was so fresh. The ginger condiment was some of the best we’ve had. We also selected 3 speciality rolls and it came in a sushi boat. Top notch presentation. One bite of the sushi and this is now our new favorite sushi spot in town hands down! For dessert, we tried the taro cake with ube (purple yam) ice cream and the coconut cheesecake. Service was impeccable. The owner Nora came over to chat while we were savoring desserts to make sure everything was okay. We had no complaints, only rave reviews. Nora mentioned Saisaki’s lunch specials. Nora’s husband is the sushi chef. They have an in house pastry chef. We look forward to returning and trying other items on the menu. Park in the parking garage, apparently after 6pm it’s free. If you live nearby, visiting or staying in a downtown hotel we recommend walking to the restaurant or take an Uber. Give this spot a try, even if you’re not a sushi or seafood fan there is something for everyone on the menu. Support this mom and pop restaurant, your tastebuds will thank you later.
Rich, decadent, crisp, great service, amazing drinks.Saisaki is a must go to place if you are anywhere near Fort Wayne. The food looked so good I didn't even think about taking pictures until after we were almost done eating!! The octopus gyoza (or Takoyaki if you are familiar with it) was the best I had ever had at any restaurant... ever. You have to try it if you plan to eat here. The mojito was simply delicious, highly recommended, and the plumb saki was also nice and tangy. The cremé bruleé was decedent beyond compare and just perfectly made. They also made us fried banana spring rolls and ice cream which was a cultural treat I think everyone should try.The owners, Nor (or Nora) and Andrew (also head chef), were extremely gracious and pleasant. I loved hearing the story about how they found the location, you should ask about it if you happen to meet them. The rest of the staff, including the sushi chefs, were also just above and beyond nice and funny too!10/10 Highly recommended, we will be returning to Saisaki soon. And next time I'll take better pictures!
Very good sushi. Friendly staff. Drinks are great. Table had a wobble. Did not effect the great tasting food. Chef comes out to check on all orders. Very welcoming.
Saisaki, a local Japanese and sushi spot, has a fun, modern, urban vibe, in downtown Fort Wayne, right in the heart of the Arts District. It made a perfect place for my wife and I to get dinner after catching a performance of the FW ballet at the Arts United Center, but we’re adding this spot to our date night rotation. You’ll find Saisaki in the lower NE corner of the 1st Source Bank building; just across Main Street from Friemann Sqaure, and Arts United Campus.Service was friendly, prompt, and helpful. We shared the Korean beef bulgogi and a specialty sushi roll. It was the perfect amount of food. They have all your Japanese favs from gyoza and hibachi to bento boxes and sushi; plus a full bar. The street side patio, during warmer months, or the large front windows in the dining room let you take in downtown life while relaxing with a good cocktail. Reservations and large parties are both ok as well.
10/10 I literally have no complaints or even critiques. The place was beautiful and spotless. I want my house to look like this place. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. The food.... Omg the food.... First off, do yourself a life changing favor and get the tropical roll. Everything was amazing and I'm ready to go back literally tomorrow.
We had the most wonderful experience! Their hamachi appetizer is up there with Nobu! Cannot wait to come back, drinks were great, food was phenomenal, and the staff was awesome.
