Loved our previous experiences here more than last night. The food and drinks were good but our server was not. Food arrived with no silverware. When we asked for some he proceeded to help other tables for 3-5 minutes. I finally want to find some on my own so our food didn’t get cold.We loved dining outside and the Landing is a fun destination downtown. A short walk to promenade park.I do recommend Nawa. Just hope your service is better. ?
Many choices of Asian quizine from Curry, to Thai, and some Japanese fair. Quite a few nice cocktails and excellent Moscow Mules. The SO and I enjoyed the Curry Flight (sample 3 Curries), Tam Kha (coconut savory /spicy soup) and "The Spicy eggplant" which is a veggie stir fry with eggplant. Got it with pork which was nice. Also this lovely cheesecake which had nuts on it and was delicious. Some issues with understaffing and consequently it took a while to get our orders, we initially did not get silverware, had to ask for napkins, and had to ask for our waters. Also lines at the bathrooms. Despite this, we had a very nice meal.4.3/5 stars.
The basil scallops with fried rice....*chef's kiss * I was asked what level of spice I wanted and was pleasantly surprised that it actually had some spice to it the way I requested. Too often restaurants claim a dish is spicy and there literally is no heat at all. The rice on its own was ok but even better when mixed with the sauce that was on the scallops. Also had a few mules with muddled berries that were very good. Will be back.
Loved dining here for a date night. Food was delicious and the service was great. I think their drinks are overpriced but the place has such a nice upscale vibe that I would still go back again. Plus they were super helpful when I lost something at the restaurant and needed to go back to get it.
We love nawa but we just had such a bad experience here. My brother’s in town, so we’ve decided to take him to Nawa since my fiance and I love their ramen. We got there at 7:10pm, we were seated right away. It took about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, we got our drinks around 7:27pm, our appetizers at 7:30pm. We still don’t have plates or silverware at this point. We can’t find our server anywhere, and my brother was ignored by one of their staff when we tried to ask for plates and silverware. We were really hungry and our appetizers were getting cold. We ordered our ramen, not sure what time at this point. But our waiter came back after about 15 mins to tell us that they do not have Ramen for the night. We were really bummed about it but still went ahead and ordered something else. Our food didn’t get to us until 8:18pm. My fiance and I got our food while my brother waited another 5-8 minutes to get his. It took maybe another 20 minutes to get our check. We were really just not taken care of. We see other tables getting better service… Food was okay, service was not that great. I’m kinda upset because the table next to us got their food within 20 mins of being there. I know that we could have been served better. but we gave him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was having a bad day. We didn’t get to leave until 8:50pm which is kinda ridiculous… I still love Nawa and we will be back.Hopefully, they have the ramen next time.
Highly recommend giving this place a try if you enjoy any kind of Asian foods. Fantastic flavors and they will even bring out spices if you want to add additional levels of heat to your dish.I enjoy spicy food and I got what they called the 'uh oh' level of spice and it was mild to me so if you are unsure and like spices I recommend starting with the 'Phuket Hot' level.The staff was very nice and approachable with any questions that we had and were very knowledgeable.Looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in town.Parking wasn't exactly easy to figure out but looked like they had a lot for nawa that could be used that we walked by after parking on the street a few blocks down.
