Absolutely garbage food. $50 and my “chicken sandwich” came with someone’s hair AND this isn’t a chicken sandwich. This is an over burnt double breast of chicken. Had I known this was what they consider a “chicken sandwich” I would have NEVER ordered it.First and last time ever eating here.
I normally do not complain unless I feel it needs to be addressed. With that I would like to say I know every where is short staffed and doing their best. I have been a waitress and I understand how things work for the most part. But my husband and I had Lucille's yesterday. I ordered the smoked wings and mac and cheese and cheesy potatoes. I have had them several times. I love them with my whole heart. But when I received the wings, I was a little thrown off. I really dislike burnt taste. I told the waitress that I really wasn't happy with the way some of the wings looked. She said, "Thats normal for them to be charred like that." I of course disagreed. I told her, "I have had them quite a few times now and they haven't ever looked like this." I understand that smoked wings blacken a little with the seasoning, we have made our own several times as well. She eventually said she would have them remade. When I got the second set of wings they were exactly the same. Some black charred, some ok looking. She sat them down and walked away. She didn't come back to the table until we were done eating. The wings were so dry inside. Either she didn't tell the cook they were a remake or this was intentional. Which I even hate to think because I love this restaurant so much!! If this were a cheaper restaurant I wouldn't complain and move on. But this place can be pricey. So I feel if I am going to eat somewhere a little more expensive because I have the money, I want to get what I expect for the most part. I am not trying to be snobby or rude. I didn't say anything the second time to the waitress because they were already out a whole set of wings I got for free. I didn't want to be that person complainin and getting a free item off my bill. Everything else was good. My husband loved his ribs. We paid and tipped. I would just like the restaurant to know what happened. And maybe next time for the next person to fix it. I know mistakes happen and everyone has an off day. Maybe some people love them this way. I dont know.
The brisket was SO delicious! Very tender and the dry rub seasoning on my sandwich was just the right amount and with blue cheese crumbles it was the perfect combination! The broccoli salad never disappoints and I appreciate this delicious side option as a low-carb eater that I haven't found anywhere else near by! Service was great and the atmosphere is very comfortable! I plan to return soon!
Worst $48 I’ve ever spent. We were there last night 4/12/2022. I have been there twice before and had the pulled pork nachos and they were good. Last night I ordered the jalapeño and cheese sausage with French fries (which they were out of,who runs out of fries?) they substituted cheesy potatoes for and a side salad. The potatoes were bland with little flavor, the sausage was completely bland with zero flavor and seasoning. It was also dry. My girlfriend ordered brisket that was 95% fat and Brussels sprouts that were over cooked and bad. She told the waitress and they gave her brisket to take home and it was the same. They were also out of lemon for the sweet tea that was basically water. I never complain about food and we are not picky but we will not be going back. The bad thing is we were so excited for the new location to be opening soon which is close to our house but we will NOT be going. Hope someone is helped by this. Good luck.
I'm from Nashville and my boyfriend's from Memphis and we love this barbecue! Love the variety of sauces. We tried them all. The Mac n cheese was better than I expected. The brisket was a 9-10. And I've had a lot of brisket. So good. Get the cornbread!!
My husband said they had the best ribs. They were really busy at 530 on a Friday night. The waitress we had was also check-in people in and doing carry-outs. Even tho there was a little wait for food, it was worth it and we had great service with a friendly smile. We will be back.
Lucille’s BBQ on Lima Rd in Ft Wayne, IN is outstanding! The staff was very friendly and the service was great. I had the three meat combo with Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. Sides were Brussel Sprouts and White Cheddar Corn. Everything was great. They also make their own sauces, those were very good as well. At first glance the prices may seem higher than similar BBQ places but the portion sizes are much larger than I have seen anywhere else.
Lucilles catered a funeral I attended and the food was fantastic. Meat was juicy and tender, with a perfect amount of smoke flavor, BBQ sauce perfect, broccoli salad and potato casserole were incredible.
3 strikes and never again. Over 5 years I gave this place 3 chances. 1st was order of nachos with Brisket. Nothing but fat for meat and reviews here confirm that hasnt changed in years. I tried to eat those for 3 minutes when i saw it was mostly cold fat I stopped told them and they told me I could leave without paying. 2nd visit was just poor food and nothing remarkable. 3rd visit was for a smoked turkey platter. Smoked Mash potatoes and broccoli salad. I was served room temp turkey that had a very tiney hint of smoke. Added sauce and there was not a trace of smokey flavor. Potatoes had a little more hint of smoke flavor than the turkey but was gone quick and they were room temp. Broccoli was store bought/ fresh and flavorful - delicious. Hot and spicey Sause only had a hint of heat and spice. a total disappointment. The raspberry sauce was great balance and surprise good taste. 19 bucks for garbage and 3 bucks for bad tea. Most likely almost out so it was mostly water. Its just sad. I am not sick and have not lost my sense of smell and taste. I had a strong craving for BBQ and will not be going back here. The waitress with the very prominent limp wrist asked me if I was done with my tray while I was waiting in a long line to pay. I dont have an explanation for that. You deserve a hot meal for 25 bucks.
Went here after looking for a new local place. Not many tables, but still had a good atmosphere. Got the pulled pork sandwich to go with the mac n cheese, plus got a small bit of each sauce to try. The food was divine and the sauces...I'd really love to buy both their house and Raspberry sauces.Highly recommend this location. I 100% plan to come back again to try more!
