Heard about this restaurant from the reviews for the nearby hotel we stayed at for an air show. This place was great! We were greeted and seated quickly despite it being busy. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and handled all of her tables with grace. It was really nice to see they had several regular customers that the waitstaff knew well. Also the owner was walking around warming up coffee for everyone. We were there for breakfast and there were so many things to choose from. I settled on eggs, sausage patties, hashbrowns and pancakes, he got eggs, sausage links/bacon and a Belgian waffle. Everything was delicious! We both liked the pancakes better than the waffle- perfectly sweet and cooked to perfection. The sausage patties and links were both equally yummy in my opinion. If we are ever in this area again we will most definitely be coming here for breakfast!
Stopped here before leaving town for an event. Waiter was friendly and we were quickly seated. She promptly took our drink orders, and came back shortly with our coffee and waters. Coffee was hot and good. She asked for our food orders and we put them in. The food didn't take long to come out. I got home fried + gravey, it was only about $9.00 and was a whole plate worth. The food was delicious and hot. The gravey was well seasoned and the potatoes had a nice crunch without being burnt. Perfectly made. Waiter was friendly and food was great, will be back again.
Lamb Chops with a Greek Salad. Oh my goodness! Excellent quality and cut of meat. The flavor was just incredible! Whomever the Chef was I tip my hat to you Sir or Mam. Just outstanding quality. I highly enjoyed my dinner this evening. The potatoes an the Green beans were excellent as well. The potatoes were very soft and easy to cut the Green beans were nice and crisp. The Greek Salad. Whomever makes y'all's Greek Salad excellent as well. Plenty of Feta Cheese and Tomatoes just the perfect amount of Greek Dressing on it also. Some places over do it with the dressing not here. It's rare that I can enjoy such a excellent meal. The price wasn't too bad either. I was expecting a hole in the wall dive of a diner being close to a truck stop and a couple of adult entertainment establishment's plus a few motels. But oh no y'all really surprised me and gave me great service even 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. Got my Salad quickly and before I could finish it off my main course arrived.Thank you so much for having great service and excellent food. Keep up the great work ??????????????????????
This is a go to favorite for two decades. If you are passing through the Fort do not miss a chance to see a bit of New York Greek Town at Colosseum and Goshen. The Greek cuisine on the menu is to die for and the Classic American Diner selections are top notch. Superior portion sizes and and an extensive menu that has yet to fail in blowing my mind picky palate away. Ooh... Read everything!!! Early bird specials. Blue plate specials. The menu is worth the time. Burgers rival any in any tavern or pub I've been in the USA too and that's a lot of burgers. The owners are lovely people and the staff has been there for years and know their stuff. Grill items always cooked to order and dead on. If not they are happy to make it good. Family feeling that keeps staff, customers and a favorite of car collectors also. Summer weekends you'll get a free car show in the lot. The lemon soup. My fave comfort treat. My son says the turkey Manhattan is his favorite and my daughter loves the fish and chips. Any breakfast is good. For real. Never had a bad meal there yet. Rare? No problem. Over medium eggs with no goobers? Dead on it. Do NOT miss the dessert display on your way out. If you're stuffed, it's a great take home for later option. Baklava and cheesecake are worth every cholesterol point and dimple on my back end. I'll walk an extra mile in every sense for this food and, after a decade, it's still a treat for us to go there in a family of cooks that come from restaurant people in Detroit. Try it.
What a nice place! I ordered the 3 egg with gyro meat. The pancakes was very good, the syrup came warm and was also good. The coffee was fresh and hot and the waitress kept my cup full at all times. As far as my main meal, eggs was cooked perfect, the gyro meat was tasty and the potatoes were a good amount. Would definitely go again
We had a wonderful dinner yesterday. So much food comes with your entree and its modestly priced. The owner is so friendly and you can tell the staff has been there a long time. They are like family.
My Fiancé & I stopped in for a small dinner date. Our server lady was polite. My fiancé pulls out an ice cream bar. As we were sitting at our table getting ready to place our order, the manager at the time comes up to the table my phone, points her finger in my fiancé's face, YELLS at my fiancé face, tells my fiancé "We don't allow that here. We DON'T do that here either." I felt embarrassed because of how loud she was yelling at My Fiancé about the small mistake he did for bringing in the ice cream bar. It was my first time eating there at Liberty Diner. Like they say 1st impressions are your last impressions. Well, I personally would not recommend eating there. I want the Building's manager contact information so I can report the lady that was at the door because she was HIGHLY disrespectful with My Fiancé & I was NOT satisfied with My 1st visit there.
Wish I lived just around the corner, I'd eat here every meal. I haven't tried every dish (heck, not even half of them), but I've never been disappointed. Everything I've ever eaten here is perfect. And, the other night I called close to closing to pick up a salad and George added a few servings of soup. I just love Liberty Diner!
My daughter and I had breakfast at Liberty Diner. We were both impressed with how good the food was and how fast the service was when we were there. Definitely will be back!
EXTRA FEES (unadvertised) for: every single to-go box, and a "check out" fee when paying the bill. Each to-go box, regardless of size, was $2.25. The "check out" fee was $2.75.IN TOTAL, WE SPENT AN EXTRA $12 IN UNADVERTISED FEES!I've never experienced this at any restaurant, ever. Ridiculous. The food was good and the service was great, but I won't be returning due to the absurd fees.Total bill for 4 people was $69 with each box fee. This food was a higher price for the quality than expected, though portion sizes were good. The service was excellent; it's just a shame about the many fees that jacked up the total price.
