Top reasons for this 2 star review:1. The soups are bland, especially the hot & sour soup.2. The rice wasn’t cooked thoroughly so it was rough to chew on.3. The vegetables were very apparent that they were frozen and not fresh. As such, they were not prepared effectively for frozen vegetables.4. Chicken stock and seasoning is heavily used to imitate good flavor but absence of any substance.
If you have not been to Golden China Chinese restaurant you need to go. Amazingly good and so inexpensive for lunch! They have very good hot and sour soup and egg drop soup. Their lunch specials are great. Lunch for 2 people was just under $21 with a healthy tip!
Food was really decent small atmosphere really relaxing place. Staff was friendly and food was delivered in a timely manner. I would reccomend.
We ordered take-out and what we ate was very good, but found a piece of metal wire (picture attached) in the lo mein. When we called , the employee we spoke to informed us this wasn't an isolated incident. Apparently it is from the scrubber they use on the wok. While I appreciate the honesty, this is a huge health risk.
Started getting the occasional lunch here as we thought it was time to try something new. Pricing is reasonable and the portions are more than enough. The ingredients, meat and vegetables, are always fresh. Not my number one choice for Chinese food, but an easy number two.
Very good, I had the beef and scallops, hot n sour soup and egg rolls. It was all very very fresh, and tasted delicious! You won't be disappointed.
There are several hotels and several restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. I have lived in Fort Wayne since 1994. Tonight was my first time at Golden China. WOW! If you are close or even 10 miles away.. You must go. Service was fantastic, however, add that to a very tasty, flavorful and warm meal, again, WOW. I hope others agree.
Went in and sat down. Waitress felt it more important to clean table then to come take our orders. Sat at least 20 minutes before she took our order. Was looking for what I wanted halfway through ordering she was going to leave food was hot when we got it. But felt like we were not welcome. She couldn't get away fast enough felt it was problem getting refills on drinks. When we went to pay I didn't feel she deserved a tip lady at cash register pointed that I didn't give tip I told her she didn't deserve tip. Oh did I say we were only ones in restaurant. As I left the cashier was telling me to go somewhere else if I am not tipping. Well I have been that waitress for $2 an hour I treated my customers to better service. I didn't even want to give one star review. Terrible seevice
My husband and I were passing through Fort Wayne. We were hungry and too tired to drive anywhere. Just walked across the street expecting mediocre food at best. We walked in about a 1/2 hour before they closed. Very gracious service, really good food! Truly a great place!
Food was great but very very Rude and Poor customer service. My family and I didn’t feel welcome at all. The waiters and owner was so unprofessional. They didn’t refill our drinks nor check on us to see how the food was. Had attitudes when asked for things that should have already been brought to us. I won’t be bringing my family here again terrible experience.
