This was an entirely new thing to me. You walk around and select/order what you want, then check out at the kiosk with no human contact. It was weird, but I liked that there was no pressure to hurry, upgrade, etc. The food was surprisingly good.

Great dining experience if you are in the area.Cafeteria style. Many great choices, hot meal, sandwiches cold or hot, pizza, soup and salad bar. Even great looking desserts, have never had one, too full. Prices are very reasonable, as well as portions. Always plenty to eat. 3 soup choices, the tomato basil is great. Located on US 30 just west of Fort Wayne.

Okay, the Downbeat Diner is really a cafeteria, it's nestled inside the mammoth Sweetwater Sound music mall and warehouse just west of Fort Wayne. I was there during GearFest this summer - another review in itself. Had the pulled pork sandwich and cole slaw, very good. The staff is very cheerful and the selection, while limited, is good and it rotates. I can only give 4 stars since it's, well, a diner, but it's fun place to eat at the Midwest's mall for music gear. You can easily spend half a day inside Sweetwater just to check out new equipment, nice to have a restaurant instore.
