We stopped for 2 egg sandwiches and toast and some coffee. We waited 1 hour for or food. God bless our waitress Alex who was so sweet and nice. Mostly when people say down 40 min after us with 6 people and ordered a ton of food and got served way before us. At check out we said how good our waitress was and how long we waited for food and they just said sorry.. will not be going there again for sure!
This is a must visit place on your travels in the USA. Beautifully arranged and proves to be a local market place also. You will be surprised to see the varieties of articles on sale, both eatables , garments , fancy articles and decorative materials etc. This is the second time we are visiting the cracker barrel units, once in 2015 just below the lake superior and now here. In both cases the experience was exemplary. The staff were simply great and helpful. They encouraged us to take pictures when we moved around.
We were there 4/30/22 approx 5pm. They weren't overly busy. 7 in our party. Waitress took drink order and she took food order when she brought our drinks. As time passed for a long stretch of time I started watching the new patrons who were being seated in our area...5 new tables came in after us and they all had their food before we did. We were there 2 hours! Not sure if they were waiting to butcher a chicken and cow before feeding us but this totally bad business. Food was good but probably won't be back.
We had a good experience coming here for the first time. There was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive at the table but once it came we were NOT disappointed. Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Loved checking out the country store while we waited. Will definitely be back!
Excellent customer service!!! Delicious food. Great selection of nostalgic sodas and snacks & wonderful & varied selection of gifts in the store. It was comforting and inviting to feel the warmth from the fireplace. We drive an hour each way to get this Cracker Barrel in Fort Wayne, IN and it is always worth it!
We came here for our daughters Birthday Dinner tonight!! Unfortunately it wasn't what we anticipated. The pancakes were very chewy, to the point you couldn't even cut through it with the fork. It was as if they were frozen and then reheated. The Hashbrown casserole was dry and Lukewarm. My husband ordered the roast beef dinner with 3 sides. It was under Seasoned and He was given baby portions... VERY SMALL amount especially compared to what is advertised and the price we paid. We expressed this to the waitress and nothing was done to rectify the issue.
Our host was very polite and friendly but that's where our service ended. We never had a waiter or waitress come to our table despite them looking at us several times. After over a 20 minute wait a table next to us was seated and got service immediately. We still didn't receive service after and left.
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Our server had bright pink hair and he was very odd and made us very uncomfortable. We placed our order and sat there for forty minutes waiting for our food, which never came. In the forty minutes we waited, we witnessed our pink haired server saying strange things to an Amish party next to us, followed by him returning twice to tell us that our food would be out shortly. When asked why the food was taking so long, he responded that there were two new cooks in the kitchen, and that it was a Saturday night. What a lousy excuse!! Then, a lady came over to our table and asked if we had ordered a bud light, to which my dad made a joke about needing one right about now, due to the horrible experience we were having. She then told him “Well we can get you one!” In a very sarcastic and rude tone. Then, she walked back out of the kitchen and asked across the dining area, “so did you want a bud light?” in the same tone as before, to which my father replied that he simply just wanted his food. After an excruciating forty minute wait, we stormed out of the restaurant hungry and angry, and we took our business across the street to Wendy’s, where we we served in a matter of minutes. Horrible experience! Never going back!!!
I used to like this place. Today, it was terrible. TERRIBLE. Service. Food. Manager. Cashier was polite as she took my money. Waited 55 minutes for the poor food. They were not busy but a lot of staff. Hamburger was less than done corn bread was so dried out, that when i put a knife in it, it actually broke like drywall.
I was happy to come in and get served quickly on such a cold day. Service was quick and fast. I really enjoyed my pancakes and hot chocolate. I was traveling through so I appreciated being able to hop on a stream while I ate.
