My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here, along with my brother and sister-in-law. The prices were a bit on the high side, but you get what you pay for. The rising cost of everything across the board is also equally to blame. The atmosphere was great. The server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was on-point. Everything that we ordered had exceeded expectations. As simple as it may sound: the potato soup was absolutely delectable. Walleye fingers, and salmon were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We'll definitely be back in the future.
Hands down, the best brussels sprouts in town! Mouth watering delicious! If it is on the menu that day, you are in luck!!Whenever we go to Chop's, it's excellent service in a calming atmosphere. Our favorites include: purple rain martini, crab cakes, apple pork chop (oh that glaze is delicious!), and the mahi mahi. I recommend making reservations for busy nights.
BDay dinner for my Sweetie. Stopped in without reservations and was able to get right in. Second time eating there. Waitress was very attentive. We both ordered off the “Specials” that were offered. Halibut for her Porterhouse for me. Soup was great. Wife enjoyed the Halibut, my steak was better than average. Waitress offered Brownie as BDay treat. We were floored to see that the “Specials” were $53 for Halibut and $76 for the steak. WOW! I assumed $50ish for steak $30- $40 for fish pretty standard. I’ve never seen a steak that high. Gibson and Morton in Chicago doesn’t charge that. And we were charged $8 for the BDay Brownie. No way to treat your patrons. Could have been a much better experience. WAY WAY OVER CHARGED!
The new owners are terrible. Brad the manager is terrible. Do not go here and do not waste your time go somewhere else. Cassandra at the bar is terrible. The new people running this restaurant have ruined it.
Majorly over priced. Order appetizer which the waitress neglected to tell us it was $30 . Definitely NOT worth the money. Spoke with management who was rude and could careless. Not a place for a quiet meal. wow to call me names is completely unprofessional just like charging outrageous prices and NO I was not drunk. You really are a piece of work and I will be reporting you to the BBB and to YELP and all family and friends. And anyone reading this I hope you also never go to this restaurant ever again. We were over charged and have the receipt to prove it. And all management can do is bad mouth me for their WRONG doings.
I go with friends to Chops every few months. First it was 3 minutes till 5 and we had a reservation but the host would not seat us till exactly 5:00 (which is what she rudely told us) even though I was on a cane. Then we were given 2 different drink menus that had 2 different prices. We were given a paper menu that said scan the menu code to get the full menu which we did and it had different pricing then the paper and the on line menu. When we got our bill the prices were different/higher then on either menu and on line. When asked the server the server said the "higher amount" was correct even though we showed her all the different pricing. It was "what the computer rang up was correct." We spend a lot of money every time we go but this was ridiculous. I had the crab cakes which I've had before and they were barely warm and all breading! I understand times are tough right now but come on Chops, you need to at least get the basics right. Chops is no longer a restaurant we plan to go to. Too expensive, bad service and food not to mention a hassle!!.
Food is great. Bartender was so loud gossiping with some people so I would probably not sit in the bar next time
My boyfriend surprised me with Valentine's date last Monday. It was my first time eating there. We was not pleased with our meals. I ordered a NY strip medium rare and my bf ordered a special steak with shrimps medium well. They cooked our steak wrong. Mine was medium well and my bf's was medium rare. I took couple of bite and it had no flavor whatsoever . My bf and I traded our meat. I ate his and it was divine. He was not happy with NY strip. No taste at all.
We went here for date night and to enjoy their “Savor Fort Wayne” specials we started with the calamari special which we enjoyed but also ordered the bruschetta which had soggy bread with almost no mozzarella cheese. It was subpar. We opted to split a Caesar salad and when it came to the table, the lettuce looked odd. We took one bite and stopped. It was slimy. When we told the waitress, she said another table complained that the Lettuce was frozen. Lettuce that freezes and thaws out becomes slimy and wilted. Very disappointed they didn’t discard that lettuce and continued to serve it to customers. My boyfriend ordered the Chilean sea bass (not normally on the menu but a part of the savor Fort Wayne menu) and it was absolutely phenomenal. Best he has tried at nicer restaurants in Fort Wayne. I ordered the Wagyu sirloin which was false advertised. It was far from Wagyu. They topped the steak with herb butter to hide the fact that it wasn’t really Wagyu. The herb butter was so salty, it was inedible. I had to send it back and ask for it redone without the butter. The second version of my meal was better but still obviously no Wagyu. Had to ask for the salad to be removed from the bill as they tried to charge us for it. Not the best experience as we overheard the table behind us also have numerous issues with their food and heard the waitress apologizing over and over for their continuous issues. For one of the more “upscale” restaurants in Fort Wayne, I would not recommend for the price you pay. After doing some research, looks like the same owners of this restaurants also have taken over Trolley bar. For the price, I will take my money to places such as cork n clever, bakers street, or club soda.
Delicious food and amazing strong service. Wtg chops staff, bartenders, and servers you all rocked it. Hopefully the owners will reward you with a generous Xmas gift. They can afford it, and you deserve it. The doors don't stay open just because of them.
