It may seem harsh to only rate two stars, however, it's warranted with my recent experience. It's been almost year since I've eaten here, and there's a noticeable decline in quality. I ordered a carry-out late yesterday of lasagna and a side Casa salad. The salad was completely limp and very soggy, to the point it wasn't enjoyable at all, so it went uneaten (maybe it was made much earlier and had sat in the kitchen). The bread has changed too. It used to be more like a French, or Cuban roll with a wonderful crust and soft interior. The roll I experienced was a different shape, more like a regular bun or dinner roll, and so plain tasting it didn't complement anything. The lasagna was nothing special, not terrible but definitely not in line with the cost/quality relationship for an $18.50 carry-out. The dinner as a whole was disappointing, and seemed like something from a lower price-point restaurant. Maybe the challenges of the past year have caused some quality changes. The bottom line is the meal was disappointing on all levels. Sorry to say because I had always enjoyed their food in the past.
We celebrated Holy Saturday with a delicious meal of baked pork chops in creamy sauce seasoned just right, minestrone soup and their famous salad! Scrumptious! We also tried their stuffed crab and shrimp roll with mashed potatoes and minestrone soup! Delicious! Finally we topped it off with chocolate cake drizzled with raspberries...this cake was humongous and we both shared! What a wonderful way to celebrate Easter!
Food and salad were phenomenal and our waitress, Annie was spectacular !!! She recommended menu items that were great and was kind enough to tell us what was in our entries. What an asset she is to your restaurant.!!!
Casa is a go to when we are hungry for their signature Tutto Mare w.garlic butter sauce!! A medium container was what was LEFT!Our server tonite was Sharon, who was TOP NOTCH perfecto' and very personable!
*We did take out for this review*The food was good, spaghetti was a little under cooked, slightly chewy, not "Al dente". The meatballs we big but needed heated up more, again, this was take out. Deserts, bread sticks, and sauces were all fantastic. In my opinion, a little costly for what you get. It is worth a visit, but not a place to frequent. Just my opinion.
Casa is my favorite Italian restaurant in Fort Wayne, and possibly my favorite restaurant overall. My kids love this place, and so does my significant other. In fact, everyone I know, is always happy to eat at Casa.
Look at this Pork Tenderloin! It was amazing, this place also has really good pasta, and lunch specials.
Food was phenomenal! Probably the best Italian dish I have ever had. The service was great as well. We live near Toledo and will definitely making a trip to just come back here to eat!
The great food, and the nice ambiance our dining experience was the best!
We love eating here! Food is fantastic!
