Horrible service. Waited forever just for the appetizer and then it sucked and was in need of seasoning badly. The price was pretty high to for the quality. I ordered Philly steak and cheese sub he got the burger we waited an hr for our lunch. We almost got up and left honestly but then she came with the food. It had no flavor the sub didn't even have green peppers on it. Just was not good I paid almost 40 for our lunch and it was so not even worth 20$ will never go back there again. Even though it looked like it was well liked by people especially older people but they must have been there for the booze. Or wad to drunk to not taste the food idk. Sad.

Always busy for dinner, that being said Always great service fresh hot food. Never had bad service or need to have my order fixed due to a problem. Bar setting is loud but that to be expected even when sitting in the attached family room. Keep up the good work!
Food was decent however the waitress clipped me for a 30% tip, I guess she thought she needed more than us. So unless you have a credit card, have the Exact amount, or want to make a scene, don’t go to Black Dog Pub,
We love love love black dog. Cocktails are made just right and great beer selection. Staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home. If you try their hot hoochie mama chili you better like spice. The flavor starts off with a hint of spice but builds as you continue to eat it. So if you do not like spicy I suggest you try their soup of the day. Husband got the wings they are his absolute favorite because they are fried and grilled which gives a nice glaze with whatever flavor you pick.
My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch around 2pm today. The place was fairly busy, but not packed.We were greeted shortly after we were seated, though our drinks took about 10 minutes. After our server took our our food order, I requested another Guinness. Again, that took another 10 minutes.Once our food arrived, I was highly disappointed. I ordered the Fish n' Chips. But the fish came looking more like oversized fish "sticks." Plus they could of stayed in the fryer a minute or two longer because they were limp. Looked more like a "kids" meal and definitely not worth the menu price. Plus the "chips" were nothing more than way overly-salted fries. Oh, I also had to wait for a bottle of malt vinegar, too, which should be standard when ordering this item.I've been eating fish n' chips since I was a wee lad, but today's attempt was dismal. I mean this dish is not hard to make.Now that out $40 for a terrible lunch with poor service, at least my British friends with get a kick out of my photo on social media.
Good variety of drinks, beer mainly, but also some surprise deals on the food side too. Waitress we had was stellar, not sure what her name was but she was quick and had us taken care of the entire time. Definitely recommend this place!
Waitress was rude!! She was making comments out loud about other customers and also would roll her eyes at people talking. Maybe she shouldn't work with people?! Food was way over cooked and dry....hard to swallow. Beer was good!! Doubt we will return!
My wife and I visited for the first time and were very impressed. Nice and cozy atmosphere, service was very good & so was the food! We will go back again ! They really do have the best breaded mushrooms in town !
