The food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. You usually get your food pretty quickly.
We got food to go last weekend.First I will say that crab Rangoon should have crab in it.The General Tso chicken was incredibly dry, it was almost like it was old and just kept warm. Rice had a weird taste to it and.after taking a few bites of my meal I felt sick to my stomach. I couldn't even finish the food I paid for.My sister in law was sick the next day from the General Tso's chicken...First time trying you guys out and there won't be a second. If you are in the food industry that just shouldn't be acceptable.
The good part: Inexpensive. Crab rangoon was pretty decent. The bad: pretty much everything else. General Tso's chicken was overcooked. Very dry and chewy. Fried rice lacked in flavor and had to mix the sauce from my chicken with it to give it flavor. Curb appeal isn't there either. Weeds tall enough to make you question if they're out of business.
I had Beef Char Kway Teow and fried rice with hot and spicy chicken they both taste terrible and I knew it not fresh as soon as I tasted the beef and fried rice. It making me sick all night at work after vomited felt a little better. I will never ever go back that place ever again.
Our Food was over cooked and not good. Every time we would place a order and get a total it would be a different price when we picked up . Young man at counter is very rude. Trying to figure out the hot and sour soup, if had lots of different soups and this didn't taste like any I have ever had . Bamboo garden I will not be back. Very disappointed in this local Chinese restaurant.
Tried the new store Kyoto, next to Bamboo Garden. One owner owns both stores. Service was fast but not friendly, a bit rushed. Ordered the teriyaki steak and the steak hibachi, both with fried rice. Meat on both was massively over cooked to the point that leather was softer. The stir fry vegetables were just hot vegetables. There was no seasoning whatsoever on the meat or veggies. Highly doubtful that we'll give it another chance in the future.
We've been coming here for 2 years, but I'm shocked by how absolutely terrible the service was today. It's never been great. The son takes the orders, and he's the most antisocial person in the entire store, but today, it went beyond antisocial. We were really polite, as always, and tipped, as always, but when we came in to ask about our order, he completely ignored us, pulled his hoodie above his head, and hid behind the corner. When my fiance came up to the counter and asked, "excuse me, can I get some help" over and over again, he pretended he couldn't hear him. He would even jump up to take orders every time the door rang, and would loudly call out, "I can take you up here" when we would take the opportunity to approach the counter, and then would shoo us out of the way to take care of the customers behind us, only to hide behind the counter again. I seriously can't give you a reason why. We were nice, smiley and tipped, and we're regulars. Everyone in the store was staring at us uncomfortably. I've never felt more humiliated and degraded by customer service in my life.
oh what an awesome restaurant. such friendly people. I mean hands down. one of the best places I've ever been for Chinese food in Indiana. probably the friendliest people as a close tie for my favorite with Han Dynasty in Fort Wayne
Had the General Tso chicken last week and sweet and sour chicken today. They were both horrible! Chicken should not be extra crunchy and difficult to chew! The only reason why I go back is because they have the best hot and sour soup in town!
Great food and nice people. My second favorite Chinese restaurant in Fort Wayne! Highly recommend.
