Dirty location, crumbs on the tables and trash the floor. Great service, but the food remains mediocre. We did the 2 for $30, which used to be the 2 for $25... Inflation has been bad but I don't think that justified a 17% price hike. I had the bourbon street chicken and shrimp. It was flooded with oil, far more than needed to cook it, but the chicken was still on the edge of undercooked. Lots of big mushrooms and plenty of onions, which were nice. The potatoes were two scoops and bland, not improved by swimming in the excess oil in the skillet. My partner had a 6 oz sirloin, medium well, which was cooked correctly but looked a little shrunken. She very much enjoyed the broccoli. The mixed food results, combined with the cleanliness, makes it difficult to recommend, despite the service.
Very disappointed, my wife and I stopped in for a quick late lunch before going shopping at Walmart around 2pm. We were waiting 5 min. before the Hostess even acknowledged us. Then there was a 15 to 20 min. wait even to sit in the bar. There didn’t seem to be that many customers. We waited a bit then two more couples came in and got the same greeting. My wife is diabetic and needs to eat so we left and went to Wendy’s.
I haven't been to an Applebee's in probably 5 years and wanted to give it another try. We arrived with only 3 people in our party and were seated within 10 mins. Our server was quick to get our drinks and we were ready to order. We got pretty simple things and we waited, and waited, and waited. Pur food took almost an hour to come out and when it did it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for the last half hour. We got the app sampler and the mozz sticks were soggy and limp, the quesdaillas cheese was hard and dry, the cheese "melted" on top of the spin dip was crusty and came off in 1 piece, and the boneless wings had a crust on the sauce like you get when they've been sitting under a heat lamp. The mashed potatoes were hard, like hard, and the kids pizza was wet and doughy...our server did bring new mashed potatoes which were much better but the whole experience was very strange. Our server kept saying he was going to check on our food but never apologized for how long it took. They ended up taking off the kids pizza to compensate for the horrible experience and ridiculous wait time for food. They were cranking out carry outs like nobody's business though so hopefully their food was better. Highly unlikely to return.
I ordered a Coors Light draft and the taste was awful. Ordered a bottle and noticed a huge difference. Also ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, no bacon but was charged for it. Fries must have been made the day before..Service was not so hot either...Applebees has been declining like many places. Save your money and go anywhere else.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at ANY Applebee’s. I would dine in with caution unless you’re only taking you kids for chicken fingers or sitting at the bar for Margarita’s. Needless to say the overall experience was ruined by the lack of kitchen expertise and operations. Arriving at 6:30 our party wasn’t seated for about an hour. Which had me baffled because there was only a few tables being occupied. After being seating our Waiter quickly got to our drink orders and after taking our food order we were left to wait for another hour and a half. The orders didn’t take any real skill or wizardry but the kitchen staff managed to mess up everything except…you guessed it…the chicken fingers and margaritas. Sadly, when our food finally arrived plates were cold, dry, bland or just distasteful and I’m being kind. Not once did the manager come to juggle or do anything to entertain us and keep our spirits up, he didn’t provide an apology or out of the book of hospitality 101 do a simple check of our table. The one star is for our waiter who was great and did the best he could under the circumstances. I might add several tables around us were complaining as well. Read the reviews!!! Zero stars would not recommend!
We have given this location a try twice in the last 2 months and I will never go back there again. Last time we were there we waited over 2 hours for our food. We thought maybe it was a fluke. Tonight we waited an hour and a half and I didn't even get my whole meal. It was cold and did not taste right. Our waitress could not fine the 2 managers on staff. The glass between the booths was absolutely disgusting like it had not been cleaned in months and they even brought us a dirty plate. I wish I could say the waitress was overly pleasant and tried to make up for it but she didn't. Beyond disappointed and never returning!
Firstly our order was incomplete. 2 frozen smoothies were missing, asked for that money to be credited back to my card. Then on to the order. My BBQ riblets had about enough BBQ sauce to possibly drown a small ant if I held its head down, my garlic mashed potatoes were in fact not garlic at all, I asked for sour cream and cheese but I got regular mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon. No sour cream and bacon bits added when I asked for them not to be on my food. Thinking the bread sticks were at least a day old, hard as a rock. 1 order of cheese stick missing. Nachos chips were stale and broken. The other order of nachos was missing all the toppings that were ordered on them and had all the toppings that were not ordered on them. Ordered brownies and ice cream and got stale brownies and a cup of cream that was supposed to be my ice cream. This cost me $103.00 and it cost Applebee's a customer! I will not be going back.
Friendly and very efficient staff in the bar area where we always sit. The food is almost always prepared/cooked deliciously. I can honestly say there is only one time when my companion's chicken & shrimp dish was totally covered in way too much seasoning that he could not eat it. We get that meal quite often and it only happened once We just put it in a box and took it home where he scraped everything off off it. We didn't say anything that time but we will specify next time to go easy on the seasonings. Pretty much everyone and anyone who has waited on us in the bar area has been exceptional, even when super busy. We love this location near Maysville Rd the best but also really like the north Lima Rd location. Thank you and keep it up!! You're obviously doing something right during this challenging time.
Worst visit I ever had. The mozzarella sticks were still cold in the middle. When we call our waitress over there to take the Mozzarella sticks back she rolled her eyes. They forgot a order of boneless wings. The table that was seated after us received their meal before us. It took 35 minutes for our meal to come out because our waitress was sitting at the bar talking to other staff members. After all the issues that were having we asked a Waiter to speak to the manager the manager 15 minutes later we were told that he he was busy he never came out. Needless to say we will probably never go back. Customer service was very poor this time we got more service from another waiter than our own waitress
I would like to thank Sierra and the Applebee's crew, for the wonderful job they did today. My wife is sick and they did everything they could to make her day better. With a very heart felt thank you, you did make a difference in my wife's day.
