Drove half an hour to get to Saxony Pizzeria today arriving at noon to a completely closed restaurant. Sign on the door said opens at 11. Very disappointed. Tried calling no answer. Went to Pies and Pints instead. They were open.
We always like this place. They overcooked the bread sticks once and they were quick to bring out a new order without question. Good good. Good service.
Great pizza tonight! Had thin crust, topping generous. We like the bar…will definitely be back.
They have some of the best chicken wings??, The Buffalo chicken pizza is divine, if you haven't been pop on in!!!
Just ordered for the first time and the overall very good. The pretzel sticks and beer cheese was fantastic and should be a must order. I got a regular cheese pizza and the sauce and cheese were great but just a little too salty, it's almost a garlic salt or something on the crust. The flavor is great but a tad bit for my liking. I live close by and will definitely be back. Hoping for great success in 2022!!!
We’ve lived in saxony for over 5 years- when this place was Rails it became our last option for dinner or drinks because of the quality of their food and atmosphere. When they rebranded we decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff and bartender we’re great- the chicken tenders were the best in Hamilton County- I kid you not, the pizza was good- a little pricey but again I couldn’t get over the chicken tenders!! We came home, told our neighbors about how they place had improved and were excited we had a decent place in the neighborhood now. I ordered chicken tenders tonight for a pick up order and was sadly disappointed to see when I got home that THEY CHANGED THE CHICKEN TENDERS!!! From 2 weeks ago. We were left again feeling that this place will be just how it was with Rails- inconsistent & focusing on making $ rather than quality.
December 11, 2021I placed an order from Saxony Pizzeria and they failed to deliver the drink I ordered. They said it was DoorDash responsibility but it is NOT. Their responsibility is to fill and complete the order for delivery as it was ordered. DoorDash responsibility is to pick up the order and deliver it to me. I should not have to have the enjoyment of my meal spoiled by Saxony Pizza’s ineptitude. Until they deliver my order in full this review will remain one star. If they don’t deliver it tonight, it will remain on here.P.S. Don’t let Saxony Pizza try to pull the wool over your eyes. Show them that poor reviews can affect their business. Ordered a pizza and Mediterranean salad thru slice for immediate pickup Advised by slice to show up in about 30 minutes. Arrived 10 minutes early and picked up order in 5 minutes. The Detroit style pizza and salad were excellent. Our first time with Saxony Pizzeria but not our last. Will return to try some other menu options.
The food is good, if you dine in. I'd highly suggest not scheduling a pickup for a particular time. They made my order an hour early and called me to let me know. All of it then sat in a warmer (the pizza, calamari and bread sticks) for an hour. The pizza was dry, the plastic containers that held dipping sauces were all half melted and everything else was basically ruined. I didn't know bread sticks could be that dry. The woman on the phone assured me it would all be fine. I cant imagine who would think that giving food like that to a customer is a good idea. I hope someone from the restaurant sees this and makes it clear to their employees that leaving food in a warmer for an hour is not acceptable.
Delicious bread sticks and pizza. Lots of appetizers to choose from and a nice selection of beer.
