To celebrate my birthday- I decided to splurge by inviting my wife and daughter to Peterson’s. I had several individuals recommend this fine dining location - but wasn’t sure what the buzz was about. After our experience- the buzz can be described in one word: BEEF ! Peterson’s has one of the best sources of top steaks & filets. I had the 14 oz filet ($68). I ordered it medium & the entire center was rare. I sent it back & it came perfectly prepared with slight pink. If you order a filet - you might clarify what their various manners of preparation indicate (Rare, Medium, Well etc) to meet your expectations. The filet was super yummy ? I paid an additional $8 to be smothered in mushrooms. They were thinly sliced, sautéed and delicious. My wife throughly enjoyed her salad: LOCAL ARTISAN GREENS Fresh Berries, Cream Cheese Wontons, Candied Pecans, Maple-Mint Vinaigrette ($12) She inhaled it and loved every healthy bite. ❤️ My daughter truly enjoyed the ROASTED BEET SALAD Red & Yellow Beets, Mixed Greens, Haricots Verts, Oranges, Pistachios, Goat’s Cheese Crème, Tarragon Vinaigrette ($12) Those were the best parts of our Peterson’s dining experience. The challenges we experienced however, dampened our desire to return. These concerns included: - SEATING- Tight seating in booths - we were unintentionally kicking each other under the table. Ouch ? - AMBIANCE- less than welcoming. Seemed cold & drab versus warm & inviting. - STAFFING- our server went from being friendly to too familiar. She indicated she was fairly new to Peterson’s & seemed to hover near our table more than necessary ? - OTHER FOOD SELECTIONS #SCALLOPED AU GRATIN POTATOES- Family Recipe Crispy Applewood Smoked Bacon while tasty - they were dried out & poorly prepared & presented. ($12) #GREEN BEANS - were undercooked & poorly seasoned. #DESSERTS- not impressive. ~DOUBLE CHOCOLATE OREO BROWNIE Chocolate & Caramel Sauces, Vanilla Ice Cream ($14) *brownie was dried out (not moist) but ice cream was creamy & delicious. ~CHEF’S BREAD PUDDING Rotating, seasonal selection ($12) * The Salted Carmel ice cream was incredible. The actual bread pudding was not meeting our expectations. It simply missed the mark for us - but you might enjoy it. SUMMARY While we did eat every bite & was blessed by the FREE BIRTHDAY DESSERT, we were somewhat disappointed with Peterson’s. The $225 price tag (we purchased no drinks) was somewhat pricey for our budget. We might have visited them when they weren’t at their best ? Hopefully they can continue to strive to bring the very best in dining experience for the Fishers community. I would humbly recommend they retrain their staff and consider adjusting booth seating configurations. Maybe bring some more dessert options.

Superb dining experience! Service was impeccable which made the food taste even better. Highly recommend, especially for a special occasion.

Amazing! From start to finish, everything just kept getting better and better! Clever cocktails, amazing appetizers, stunning salads, marvelous mains and decadent desserts! ? Top notch service. Alicia made us feel like we were her only table. Many returns for us!!

We were cared for professionally well with kindness and true interest from reservation through departure. I had an opportunity to watch the kitchen staff as well as busboys and other support staff. It was consistently calm with everyone wearing a smile and being attentive. The food was extremely well done. We had the special which was halibut. The most perfect I have ever had. The Caesar salad well coated with generous shavings of parmesan. The caprese salad was the taste of blissful summer. The waiter offered such professional service that I have not seen in many years. Several things needed a slight change from the menu that didn't ruffle anyone and waiter even offered helpful suggestions. We ordered many items so the price was high on the final bill. It was a great splurge. It is good I live so far away or it would be hard to keep me away.

Loved this restaurant! My husband and I went on Friday. Had the best meal. Loved the shrimp appetizer, only wish there were more than 4. Steak was to die for. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I will go back again!!!

We had a very nice time and experience here. I don't say it lightly but this place is noticeably better than any of the other Indy steakhouses we have been to and those are all very good as well. Besides the food and cocktails all being very good and perfectly prepared, our waiter Tom and everyone we encountered was on top of things the whole night. They do a great job of letting you take your time and enjoy your meal, we never felt hurried. They took great care of us from the time we entered the restaurant to leaving.

First time there. First off was our “meal director “/waiter, Coy. He elevated the experience by his demeanor, finesse and giving suggestions that were spot on. His timing was perfect when he would arrive in time to move us to the next course. We ate slowly enough to truly enjoy our meal to the maximum. When we go back, it will be for two reasons. Amazing food and Coy. Susan and Tom

Great meal. We don’t eat meat. They ran out of the Salmon and Scallop specials . They were very accommodating since I was celebrating my birthday.

Fantastic food, service, and drinks. Wendy was fantastic! Will be back soon!

I've wanted to try Peterson's for many years, just never did...til early this evening, Saturday 1-22-22. The decor is chic, without being snooty. The people are terrific, from the greeters/seaters to the wait and bus staff. Our waiter, Chris, was very personable and menu knowledgeable. I wanted a dish that was described as having ginger...I don't like ginger, but I wanted the main item. Chris guaranteed I wouldn't taste the ginger, so I ordered the dish. Chris was spot on...I could taste NO ginger. Both my wife's and my meals were scrumptious, which was expected, but doesn't always happen. We will return!
