Going to Wolf's BBQ has always been sort of a tradition with generations of our family for special occasions or just because we haven't been there in a while! They use their own special tomato-based sauce that has long been a family secret with them. It's been a Tri-state hit for many, many years also. Their side dishes are excellent as are their home-made pies.

I have really mixed feelings about Wolf’s. My friends and I all worked here as teens, and had such mixed experiences with management and too much exposure to their food that it sort of tainted my view of their food. After all these years, I’m finally coming around to realizing they do actually have some of the best BBQ in town, all other things excluded.

This business has been around for quite some time and they are as delicious now as they were 50 years ago! For a delicious meal, I highly recommend Wolf 's BBQ.

Meat was fatty. Took over 30 minutes to get our food. People that came in after us got food before us. When food did come it was luke warm ar best.

Excellent bar b que and ribs. The buffet lets me enjoy an array of sides. The staff is usually attentive to keeping the glasses full. Absolutely a restuarant to enjoy a meal at. Take your time and enjoy!

Still one of the best BBQ places in Evansville area...we also like Bandana and Hawg'nSauce in Mt. Vernon, IN. [I've never been to Mission BBQ]. My wife and I had the pork pit plate. It was piled high and oh so tender, but cool. It wasn't cold, but just barely warm. Same goes for the baked beans and German potato salad. Flavor was right on as usual though. We arrived just minutes before they closed the buffet [7pm], so we missed out on that. We didn't order dessert, but noticed a slice of pie was $4.99 per serving. Will definitely go back. Again, we did NOT arrive at a prime time and there were only 5 or 6 tables used while we were there. I'm sure the food would be warmer closer to regular hours and not so close to closing time

I had the loaded baked potato and it was delicious, and huge, and a glass of water. I ordered a piece of pecan pie to take home. When I got home and sat down to eat the pie, the pecans tasted very old! I scraped them off the top, and only ate the pie filling and crust. Prices are very high, which I guess everyone is increasing prices due to the ongoing pandemic, the increased cost of food supplies, and the shortage of other food items. They were out of fried chicken at 6 PM! The couple with me, one had the beef brisket, side salad, and a beer. The other one had the Buffet and a beer. Their bill, before the tip, was over $46!!! I won't be returning anytime soon.

The food was good. The buffet has good options on it. The price was high, $60 for 2 people. The other thing I felt was over the top was the manager. It felt like he watched us eat our entire meal and continued to come over and talk to us, not just asking how we were doing. That one reason that we wont be back for some time. The other reason we wont be back is both me and my fiance got sick the whole night. Its just not what it used to be.

If you want delicious BBQ and sides you will get that at Wolf’s. What you won’t get right now is good customer service due to staff shortages which is disappointing. Tonight I called in a curbside order, upon placing the order I was asked when I could pick it up and I stated 10-15 minutes. I was not given a specific time frame of when it would be ready or told there would be an extended wait time due to staff shortage plus the volume of orders. I sat outside after calling to say I had arrived for 30 minutes, watching one girl through the window running her tail off on orders. I called again to let them know I had been out there for 30 minutes now and they stated they would try to get my order out soon. I waited another 10 minutes before one of the managers came out to tell me that they were out of one of the items that should have been included in my order and that “walk in orders take precedence over curbside orders” even though I had called my order in at this point over an hour ago. Why customers who pull up and walk in should be served first when I called ahead makes no sense to me to which he replied “we’re short staffed and we have your order but haven’t had time to bring it out here to you” the manager did apologize and he did discount my meal to try to make it right which I appreciate but his excuses for why curbside customers are not as important as walk-ins we’re not ok! We are still in a pandemic some customers may not feel comfortable walking in or may even be unable to! I’m still giving Wolfs a 5 star rating in hopes that when and if staffing improves this will not be the same experience for any customer but also because the food is that good.

Went for the lunch buffet. Never saw our server. Had to waive down a manager to get a drink. There wasn't any bbq meat on the buffet during the entire visit. Expressed concerns to the manager to the manager during checkout and all he had to say was I know. You can eat sides for lunch for a lot cheaper than 18$. Will not return.
