A favorite family owned, Evansville, restaurant. Their food is consistently phenomenal, and amazing. I always leave happy and full from the comfort of a great meal prepared by their excellent staff. The owners stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our meal and time and absolutely were! We were lucky to have gone on a night when their star server was scheduled Peran. Peran is an absolute gem, and a rock star in his classy pink button up. We were lucky to get a sneak peek at some new business cards and menus that, Peran, had designed, and WOW!! A great server, graphic designer, and artist. We'll definitely be back for the amazing food and hope it's a night when Peran is scheduled for their next performance. The Emmy belongs to Peran, and he absolutely knows it! His confidence, quick wit, grace, patience, sense of humor, and wholly welcoming and inclusive personality of, Peran, are going to have them going far in life! So ya better head to, Taj Mahal, in Evansville and hope they're there to serve you dinner before they're picked up by talent scouts for a great, and truly authentic, performance! The food though, y'all. I'm telling you, you have to go have their lamb korma and garlic naan. Naan compares. 12 stars.
While the pickings arent very numerous the food that is available is delicious. It tastes incredibly flavorful and the service is quick and consistent. The staff are all very friendly and I enjoy coming here as a good treat during thier buffet hours.
Nice buffet for lunch. Authentic food, great meal and service. try the mint chutney. Interior is decorated nicely. Small but clean. No complaints.
We went for the first time today and enjoyed the buffet. The selection was good, we enjoyed the spice. We were seated, water given, then no further service. He didn't ask if we wanted anything other than water, never collected used plates, didn't ask if everything was ok. We didn't even get a check. We went to the desk to pay and he asked us what we had. The good food helped offset the complete lack of service so we will go back but they really could be more appreciative of business.
Overall a good restaurant to pick up from. I have had a few waits but not many. You tend to get larger tips from this place. Staff is very kind and addresses you immediately.
To all , this not Indian food , trust me when u ask them chicken kadai they will give you butter chicken n when u will ask them butter chicken they will serve you same . India street food is better then this food . Trust me. They spice system from 1 to 6 but when u ask them what is difference between number 3 n 6 they have no clues .
We usually order quite often from here, and every time, we would receive our order and the food would be great! This time we are extremely disapointed with the staff, we never received our order even after 2 hours of waiting in the parking lot, my husband called them to ask how long it will be and the guy mentioned a few more mins, an hour goes by and we ask and they still tell us its not ready, and when we went inside to ask the lady she wouldn't even check with the chef she would straight away say "not ready" "5 more mins" even after showing her our online order and name, 10 mins go by and still nothing, we decided to give up as we were so exhausted and too hungry, there was no apology for the wait or how long it will be. I believe our order was picked up by some other customer and they didn't even bother checking to make sure that wasn't the case. Their incompetence wasted our time and now they have lost us as customers! not to mention we live far away and so we had to drive back 35 mins without our food, I will be calling our bank for a charge back!!

This is an absolute favorite for my husband and I. The service is wonderful, everyone is so attentive and respectful. We have a tradition of going here every year around Christmas, a true gem that I don’t feel gets the recognition it deserves. The food is absolutely amazing and I look forward to the next visit, as always.
