Wow! This place has gone downhill fast. Ordered from for years. Decent food. Now it is difficult to place an order and no longer delivers. NO DELIVERY? Are you kidding me? Good luck staying open much longer.
I went by today for lunch on Good Friday and the place was closed. I heard that the owner's son is running the place now. That would explain quite a bit actually.

Ever since the 'chief' passed away, Sam's has not been the same. It's sad. We always enjoyed the Stromboli's. But, they take around 2 hrs to get delivered now. Ours had no sauce on them the last time we ordered. Just dry meat and a little cheese. The bread wasn't buttered either. It was not good. I called and the son of the 'chief' gave excuses like Melissa Key. The son should have paid better attention to how to run Sam's while it was hopping. I hope he figures it out. I really wanted Sam's tonight. But, after seeing the reviews are still bad...no thank you.
As of 11-11-21 The 'chief' Dave passed away and Sam's has suffered a tremendous loss. After Dave's passing most employees quit. The loyal ones that stayed have been struggling to keep the doors open. It's sad that so many people don't bother to ask what's going on. They just give bad reviews. Rest in peace chief.... as for the health care workers... they are nursing homes and we don't want to put our drivers health or the residents health at risk to deliver an $8 sandwich. This is for the safety of your patients and ourselves. Sorry for your inconvenience but the manager in question doesn't hide in that office. Come in and talk to us anytime she will explain to you that we also have a minimum of $10 deliveries.
Always great food.. prices are good and service always been good as well.. Best D*** stroms in Evansville ! :)
I don't know what the problem is but they basically took my money and gave me anything not what I paid for now they are not answering the phone. Just terrible I recommend no one eating sam's.
FYI The owner of Sam's Pizza, Dave Frank, passed away just before Thanksgiving. His entitled, narcissist son has taken over. When he did half of the staff immediately quit because they didn't want to work for him. With him running the place it is only a matter of time before Sam's folds.
Very bad service. Especially for us health care workers. Was told after an hour and a half that they wouldn’t deliver us our food cause we’re in healthcare then got a call back from the owner stating she was canceling our order and refund our money after waiting almost two hours and continued to hang up on me. So we drove to pick it up and still had to wait twenty minutes for food while the owner didn’t apologize or anything and hid in her office. If I could give zero stars I would. If your healthcare find somewhere else to order food.
Trying to figure out how to actually order food from this restaurant....call most days around 4-6pm .....either the phone stays busy until its too late.....or it goes to voicemail.....or just rings......so if anyone can let me know how to actually place an order i would be happy to try it
