Great service warm atmosphere best coffee in Evansville hands-down
What a wonderful, cozy little local place! So lucky to find it just a few blocks from my Airbnb! Love supporting great local places. Found a beautiful little bracelet to purchase, made by a local resident. The two baristas were as sweet as can be! And the lox & bagel was so good, and my latte was perfect! 10 out of 10!
Today, I ate here for the first time. I had a turkey bacon breakfast club and a carmel frappe. The food and coffee drink were both delicious. And the customer service was excellent. I will definitely be visiting this place a lot more often.?
I hung out in here since birth to high school, my dad hung out here & now I’m back and it’s still right on! Long live coffee & art. ✌️
Color me surprised! Penny Lane was one of the very (and I mean VERY) few things open this last Sunday in Evansville. It's a couple blocks from the museum we had gone to see and about the same distance from our church. It being Lent we went there hoping to at least score some coffees with almond or oat milk. Well, they had not only that but some really amazing smoothies (I had the Dirty Hippie), sandwiches, and some lovely baked goods including a Vegan lemonade cupcake. Perfect since we can't have animal products until Pascha. We were warned the neighborhood could be a bit sketchy but it was fine that day and time and we even got to sit outside (though it was breezy and in the 40s) and enjoy the spring blossoms and twittering birds. The inside was lovely. The comfy atmosphere you'd expect with books, cushy seating, and just the right amount of exposed brick was on display. (Tbph that whole area has some amazing architecture and landscaping. It's worth walking the back alleys!)Three of us had smoothies with my husband trying a sugar free caramel latte with oat milk. Delish! The veggie burgers had cheese and pesto which we skipped. They were still nice, served on warm toasted bread with very fresh lettuce and tomato. I could have used a thick slab of red onion but they didn't NEED it. We almost felt badly ordering food as that poor lady behind the counter was working on the smallest prep space I think we've ever come across. We were legit surprised by how quickly she turned out the food and drinks and they were all high quality. Zero complaints from any of us!The prices are more than reasonable, too. I've been surprised by the prices in Evansville in general. Whether it's the zoo, the museum, or spots to eat (even the more upscale ones), it's super reasonable which makes it painless to take the kids out. I would recommend taking a vacation in the area, especially if you're into natural sites (like Howell Wetlands, Wesselman Woods, etc) and great dining. Evansville has some great small businesses tucked all over and Penny Land is definitely near the top of the list for us. We now have a go-to place for coffee and plan on going back. i think Mom and Dad need a low key date night and this would be a perfect ending to it!
Oh my damn!!! I usually drink black coffee, a neighbor & I visited one day & he got the White Rabbit (hot) I took a sip & I was HOOKED!!! My favorites are Large instant karma & White Rabbit. I tried an iced IK & the special coffee Salted Caramel Turtle latte (hot) love their muffins & B & G is pretty good.. their breakfast croissants are delicious!!! I love to support local & go back as often as I can… always look @ the local artists pieces on the wall & jewelry they sell.. nice selection of books & very quaint little coffee shop. Wishing they’ll open a shop in Newburgh (closet to home)
We had a large order of drinks and food, the girls rocked it out. They got everything ready to go quicker than we thought. Got the Lucky Charms latte, and that thing is phenomenal! Highly recommend trying this place if you haven't yet. They also have my favorite locks and bagels!
Great place to grab a coffee, smoothie, or small bite to eat. The staff are friendly and the prices reasonable. Great atmosphere.
love the coffee, food and the overall atmosphere is wonderful as well as the staff are great as well! highly recommend
I've been visiting this location for over 5 years and they never disappoint! Such a local hot spot that President Clinton has stopped in to visit. Professional/friendly baristas and the best cup of coffee (voodoo child) I've encountered. Great marketing on social outlets, they also do giveaways. They advocate for the environment with their compostable products and support local artists with an interchangeable gallery.
