We really wanted to like this place with all the good reviews. It is a cute little restaurant with awesome service. It is a place for the locals, and that was all that was there, the over 60 crowd that the staff knew by name. Our food was not good at all, One of the meals could not even be eaten it was like chewing on a piece of shoe leather, is the comparison made by the guest. My entree was not very good either, I could eat it but did not want to. It would be an awesome place if they find a new chef for the kitchen. We would not return if in the area again.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast. This place did not let me down. Food was excellent and brought out fast. Staff were very friendly.

Everyone was awesome and on the ball, moving fast and non-stop!!! Also, very polite and professional!!!Now the food, fish and chips with bean soup and to finish, hot apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. ALL OF IT WAS AWESOME!!! If anyone is in the area and would like a comfortable family setting with good food, an great service, you must stop and give this place a try!Thank you, Merry Go Round,You filled my belly and it hit the spot!!! Time here is always great. The people, the food, everything! Today I came in with my aunt, granddaughter and sister. Not too long after getting our food, the waitress took our checks back. Figured something was left off. When she returned to do drink refills I asked for our checks. She just grinned and told us lunch had been paid for. She promised to tell the person how much we appreciated the gesture. Made an always great visit a memorable visit!
I was very pleasantly surprised...hadn't been there since the early 80s! My mother, aunt and uncle used to (when they were still living) frequent it regularly. Good memories!Good food...great sevice; hard to find this combination these days! I travel widely and this is the kind of restaurant that is a rare gem!Thank You...and I will return when I'm back "Home" again!
I often forget abt this little jewel..I love it..The old feel upon walking in is such a cool vibe .Old charm....Its like turning back to a simpler time.The old fashoned food is amazing.It tucked away on old 41 ..The food is homemade not frozen..This is the spot..Its Worth the drive..
The food and service were very good. A table next to us heard our conversation and joined in! The next 15 minutes were the highlight of my day. The fried catfish was a highlight also!
Was recommended us to this restaurant from Pallet Surplus Liquidation right down the road and I have to admit we were pleasantly surprised how good the food and service was. We will def return!
Very friendly and helpful staff.. food was great. Homemade french dressing was especially good
