Madeleineâs is a breath of fresh air in Evansville IN, which no longer has any other Fine Dining establishments. While it is not really Fine Dining, it as close as you can get in Evansville. The atmosphere is very nice but all the surfaces are hard, with little to absorb noise. If there is a noisy table near you, conversation with your party is difficult. The menu is definitely a cut above the rest but the execution leaves a little to be desired. I had the Venison and it was over cooked and way too dry. The sauce was ok but did not enhance the meat. My wife had a steak which was also a bit over cooked (she ordered medium rare) but not to the point of sending it back. Needless to say, we were disappointed, especially at this price point. Now, on the positive side; the Escargot, the deconstructed Crab Rangoon, chopped salad and Cesar Salad were all very good.
First time visiting the restaurant. Food was excellent. We did waited a long time for appetizer and after the food but it was worth it. Elegant and modern combination. Perfect for fine dinning experience. Was nice to find this restaurant in Evansville were there is many places of great taste and fine dinning to go.
Everything was outstanding. Very expensive!!! Noise level became difficult to carry on a conversation with the routy party of 7 across the room. Fortunately it was towards end of our meal but unfortunately it was a birthday celebration for us and their loud volume started when the birthday cake arrived.
My husband and I ate here for dinner last week. We had not been in several years and we wanted to celebrate our anniversary at an old favorite restaurant. Our dinner was very good, but the meal itself took over two hours. I know meals are meant to be an experience, but this was just unnecessary. Drinks took over half an hour. Our actual dinner meal did not arrive to the table for well over an hour and fifteen minutes, and we still waited even longer for our side. The server was extremely kind. I just don't have the patience or desire for such long wait times.

Food was excellent if a bit pricey for the area. Loved outdoor patio because it was hot and stuffy inside in the dining room. Service was top notch.
On entering, we were told weâd have two hours. No hello how are you. They were out of many things. What we got was meager and tasteless. Couldnât even get a Coord beer ⦠only craft. We all agreed weâd never go back. We departed with with empty stomachs and empty wallets (which weâd never have minded if weâd had a good experience).
This is the 2nd time my wife and have been. The first was a New Years Eve special they had going which was a five course meal. I was not impressed at all especially for the price. I wanted to give it another try. I came out with the same conclusion. The food is pretty good but not worth the premium prices they charge.
