Visiting Evansville from Nashville TN for work and a co worker suggested Journeys! It’s so good I’m writing this review as I eat lol. Highly the recommend this lil spot! It’s definitely in competition with my fav wing place back home. My only complaint is that I didn’t get my drink with my order, but that’s partly my own fault.
Best whole chicken wings around the Tri-state! The Catfish nuggets and fillets are amazing. Can’t go wrong when I order the subs. Super fresh food and the store is alway clean. Couldn’t ask for a more friendly service from the manager and employees they are always smiling when I come in. Best restaurant in Evansville!
It was OK. We ordered a family meal. The catfish steaks doneness was uneven. We had raw pieces and overcooked pieces. We got very little coleslaw with the family meal. The catfish nuggets were OK. The fries were soggy. The deserts tasted ok but looked like they would have tasted better. The food had a lemon pepper on it that was also on the chicken livers, ewww. In the end, people pushed their plates away and didn't want any more. We were told it was good but we did not have that experience.
First time here. Got 4 chicken tenders. They were really good! Also got a side of okra, it was good, but a tad over cooked. I will definitely return soon!
This was horrible !!! I ordered a 10 piece party pack ,which is drums and wings .They advertise the first picture but I got the second . Literally the chicken was the size of half my thumb , it was breaded as if it was Tyson chicken heated up and it also tasted like Tyson chicken which is not good!! I paid $16 for this with no drink ! I asked for half barbecue half buffalo and I literally saw the man squeeze the sauce over the chicken and close the lid and gave it to me .! I wouldn’t go here for chicken if that’s what they serve as “party wings” for $16.96 ??♀️

Got 2 of the pick own chicken and fish combo thing-So altogether we had jumbo & med shrimps, catfish nuggets, chicken tenders and fries.All of it was pretty good, the fries were a bit underdone with some way soggy or others still 'mushy hard' like.I did really enjoy the catfish & shrimp best though! The seasonings & batter (?) used is YUMM.Lastly, it's a bit pricey I think.
Spent the night in Evansville and found Journey Fish & Chicken on our map of food options. So glad we chose this for our dinner. Catfish, chicken, fried oysters, and chicken livers all absolutely delicious. Would recommend this to anyone looking for something unique.
I've only been to Journey one time so far, but that Catfish Steak dinner I ordered was awesome! Also, that hot sauce is ?. Highly recommend.
I really liked the wings, they are a full whole wing. Like you get to rip it apart and just enjoy every piece of it, how can you not like that? The fish was both good and bad. And I’ll say this the catfish was amazing, it always is they just do a great job the other fish the white fish I believe is what it was was not as good but that was just a personal preference. If the fish is what you like and I say go for it, personally I just did not like it as much as I did the catfish. Which I will say it’s not their fault it’s just my taste. Besides were great food just good.
