Not equipped for handling a large table. The waitress had several 2 seated tables around us. They were her focus. My husband didn't get the correct food. Then it finally came and was "thrown" on the table. Still missing sides. After he finished meat , those finally came. Again slammed down on the table. He never did get his gravy.The smaller tables she seemed to handle okay.I suggest less tables per server for better service.I HIGHLY SUGGEST DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE APARTY OF 6+ PEOPLE.
We used Hilltop for the liquor for our wedding. We had a consultation, and Tyler was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a couple check-ins leading up to the wedding, but beyond that our wishes were understood and executed with little to no follow up needed. Our wedding night went well in regards to the beer offered and the cash bar as well!
Hilltop is a wonderful place to go for home style food. The service is great, and the staff are very friendly. You can tell just by how busy it gets but it is worth the wait.
Quality of food has gone down considerably over the past months as has the service. Always enjoyed the Hill Top, but the last two times we have eaten there the food was subpar. We've taken out of town family there, and again disappointed.
Would have been a lot better if they had what we went to get they was out of a lot of items and it was early.
Always enjoyed the Hill Top. But the last two times we have gone there, the food and service were not up to old Hill Top standards. The grease the food was cooked in was old, leaving a lasting taste. Took out of town family to show them an Evansville landmark, and was extremely disappointed and embarrassed at the quality.
Excellent food and drinks. Bartenders and servers were working hard and the old bar atmosphere is just cool.

The last two times I’ve been in here my food has been really good! I had the tenderloin (which was huge!) and a cup of vegetable soup. The next time i had the chicken melt, omg whatever sauce they put in there is amazing! It all tasted fresh and homemade and was quick despite how busy the place was, our waitress was running her butt off but still did a good job keeping up with us! I’ll be back!
Cod fish, best in town. Brain sandwich superb. Portobello mushrooms awesome. Voted most Manly bar
