Susan thinks the Sangria is top notch. The food is alway good and tasty.
Put in a pick up order for 7:30 PM at 7 PM; arrived a few minutes after 7:30, and stood there, waiting for our order, for about 15 minutes. Our order was done and sitting on the table for the last 5 minutes or so of our wait, bag stapled shut while the staff talked to each other, pushed it around on the table, and worked on other orders. They gestured our way a few times, but there it sat, on the table. There were 3 other people standing there, waiting on their orders as well, and 3 employees working on the pick up orders. It just didn't seem efficient.The food was fine, but the wait and how the staff was processing pick up orders will probably make me think twice about ordering online again.
Women: if you eat at this restaurant, BE AWARE! It has been confirmed that the manager of El Charro is Marcos Alberto Ambriz Leon, which is the same man who plead guilty to voyeurism! (Meaning he put a cell phone in a soap dispenser in the women's bathroom, just before a woman entered to use the restroom!) It happened at a restaurant, Tres Reynas, downtown, that was forced to close right after the incident back in January of 2020, because he was PART OWNER OF THAT RESTAURANT!! What a sicko! I know that I, myself, as well as my daughter's will NOT be returning to this establishment - he did it before, he will figure out a way to do it again!! We have to look out for each other, ladies, I would spread the word and tell everyone you know. Since it has now been confirmed that this is him, I know that I will definitely be telling everyone I know! (pics in the comments)
This is probably the best place to go for lunch on the west side. You get free chips and salsa, and a drink included with the $8 lunch specials. There is a nice list of options for lunch, so you can have quite a delicious meal for $8 plus tip. The restaurant was clean, the food was good, and the service was good too. El Charro easily earned 5 stars.
Very nice employees! Super fast service. Hot and fresh food. Their hot sauce and salsa are fresh made daily, you can tell by the taste. Would very much recommend for a quick lunch, they were quick enuf to get me in and out.
Great food, service is great, well priced, and friendly staff. Can't ask for anymore!
I love eating here at El Charro Mexican Restaurant and there prices are very reasonable with friendly workers.

The burrito and the chimicake were delivered warm and tasted delicious. Price was reasonable and portions were generous.
Ordered through a delivery service. Received my order very fast...but after opening the bag, I realized why. For what the food costs, the quality was not there. No one in the household finished their meals, and not because the portions where large. I've had TV dinners with better portions and taste. I ordered the T bone with shrimp, 2 overcooked shrimp with what seemed like a boiled steak and half frozen vegetables.
