they have the best foods with reasonable price a real good home cooked meal and a staff are wonderful this will be mine fifth time coming here and third for my girlfriend
great service and outstanding food!! prices on the mixed drink was outrageously expensive at $12 a drink, and didn't get but maybe 4 sips from it, but it was otherwise fantastic and we will be back!!
Never been treated SOOOO RUDELY. They weren’t the first choice, but our choice was closed for lunch. Comfort was close and I had just carried a two-year-old for several blocks down Main St. We had two adults and three children, two of which needed a highchair. At least four tables in view done eating and the patio completely empty. They told us there was only one table available that would fit a high chair and they only had one. When I asked if we could wait they actually very rudely said “No”. Family dining, home cooking… but children aparently not! At least I didn’t spend any money there!!! 
Went for our Anniversary today and it was our first time there. The hostess was an adorable little lady and so friendly! Huge menu! They serve breakfast until 3 pm and have a full lunch menu. My husband ordered us the loaded fries for an appetizer and oh my.... They're INCREDIBLE! Tons of cheese, bacon, queso, and jalapeños! We got the ranch with it and oh my goodness!For my entrée, I ordered the blackened salmon, Caesar salad, green beans, and fried cabbage. My husband got the turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes, gravy, and fried okra! Y'all, if you have read my past reviews, you know I will pick out ANY & EVERY issue that I come across. With Comfort, I didn't find a single thing! Yep, you read it here first....NOTHING! Service was fast, friendly, kept up with refills, food came out in perfect time, perfect flavor, and perfect temperatures! Even the prices were excellent! I hope you all give it a shot and have the amazing experience we did. We WILL BE BACK! Great job, Comfort!! All around 5 stars! <<< You earned a brag right here, as this doesn't happen often!
I had this for a business lunch today. Pretty happy with my experience. Their fried chicken was the best that I've had in E'ville, for what that's worth. I will defend that statement from the haters. This skin on this fried chicken was perfectly crisp, seasoned right and the meat was moist and juicy. Wish I had got the whole bird instead of a two piece. Almost ruined my day I couldn't stop thinking about it. Maybe next time... Sides were good- the coleslaw was sweet and had a good crunch to it. The creamed corn was simple and nicely flavored . No complaints. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals.

Comfort by the Cross-Eyed Cricket a revolutionary gastro pub that serves up a variety of breakfast and comfort foods. Not very expensive for the concept. Helps attract the tourists to the historic Main Street.
What a wonderful place to relax and eat some wonderful comfort food. Everything was very tasty. The strawberry butter was delightful. Bloody Mary's was good, had alittle kick. If you are in Evansville, stop in and ask for Tessa, she was great.

Took my family there today for the first time. I have to say it's pretty good. It has a nice ambiance. Very friendly staff and good food. We had loaded fries for an appetizer which had an unexpected smoky taste that we quite liked. I had meatloaf which was tasty and a generous portion. My wife and her chicken spinach salad were winners. My daughter said her chicken and dumplings were also a hit. If you haven't eaten here and you enjoy southern style home cooking you should definitely give it a try.
