Food was excellent and the price on it was absolutely reasonable. In a time where a lot of businesses are taking part in shrinkflation, this is a business that is clearly not. Christian was out server and he awesome! Never wrote a single thing down, remembered all 7 orders and didn't mess up one single thing. Food was all cooked perfectly and to order and Christian was prompt with our food and keeping our drinks full. We are in Evansville frequently for sporting tournaments with our kids and this was the first time we had ever been to a Bar Louie's, but it definitely won't be our last!
It was pretty crowded and I was advised to sit at the bar. I ordered the calamari. The menu indicated that it was "flash fried". I am a big fan of calamari bit it was overcooked and WAY too chewy. After many minutes of trying to flag the bartender or any staff, I explained to the bartender and a member of staff that I could not eat this dish. I ordered a burger since they tout this item. After a bit, it was served and okay. Not great... okay. In spite of having been there on an exceptionally hot day, I couldn't manage to get a refill of my soft drink. I think the air conditioning was having a hard time with the heat.Anyway, unless you just want drinks, I would go elsewhere.** I thought that my comments were pretty detailed and verbose. However, as you can see below, the owner wants me to write an email to the address specified below. Why doesn't he just forward this? Do they need MORE detail? The above review should be an opportunity to make things better. I don't intend to write more about that evening. It's time to review what's going on... not to best a dead horse. Geez.
I stopped to grab a bite on my way home. I guess this place is a couple of bucks more expensive than the others around. Seating was available, unlike the others around an hour plus wait time.Service was great, food didn't offer too many choices, but it was just right for me.
If you enjoy a very loud atmosphere, crammed into several rooms, and mediocre but expensive food, avoid Bar Louie Had to wait half hour before waited on.. Because of the noise, wait staff though we wanted one meal when ordered two. Asked if macaroni was a regular included side but was charged extra, and did not receive included side with under done burger. Had to wait another 1/2 hour for second meal.
My husband was skeptical about coming here tonight with our friends because of his previous experience. He decided to give Bar Louie one more chance and after tonight we are NEVER going back. Service started out wonderful but became really bad pretty quickly. We ordered our food and the waited almost an hour for the food to come out of the kitchen. We honestly think the waitress forgot to put our order in. 2 other tables of 6 were seated after us, ordered after us, got their food before us and were finished by the time we got our food. When we were finished, the waitress brought us our tickets, we paid, and when she brought the tickets back to sign (since we paid with credit cards), she didn’t even pass them back out us. She basically dropped them right in front of me to pass out. Note- if you have a party of 6 people or more or your bill is over $300 gratuity is already added.
We had the Tuesday Special - burger and fries for $5 bucks. Martinis were excellent. The have a martini special of the month for $5. This month was a cosmo.
Was a great evening to be enjoying the outdoor seating. We came in early before the crowd. Food that comes out of the kitchen always hot and prepared right. Holly our server did a great job event hough she was covering the front outdoor seating and back where we sat. Thank & we will sure to continue coming back.Place went through remodeling as well.
Decent location. Comparable to a Buffalo Wild Wings. Food was okay.
I don't know what's happened to this place it used to be so good.I went with my in-laws for my SIL's birthday and not one of our orders was right. The waiter wouldn't even look at us.
My order was incorrectly made and missing 2 whole dishes. It was a delivery order but the bag was sealed so this is the fault of the restaurant. Not one dish that we did order was made right and these were not special orders just items off the menu. Very disappointed and won’t waste my money again!
