I love Angelos but was disappointed in our experience Saturday night. Our server was excellent and did great with a table of 12. Yes, they were busy as expected for Saturday night! We had a number of appetizers...all delicious. Dinner was good, especially the creamed Marsala chicken. The eggplant was a good size serving but a little tough. But the tiramisu was frozen as hard as a rock! Not a good way to end the evening. Took it home as carryout. Next day, it was delicious!
Fabulous Italian food! The sauces were so creamy. You could tell it was made to order from scratch. We had lasagna, fettuccini, carbonara, and spaghetti. Also the garlic knots!! Oh my! So soft and delicious. I would have been happy if that’s all I had to eat.My wife and kids all loved their food. Will definitely be going back here when we can!! ?? Great service and food. What else could you ask for?!
Waited for seating... And waited.... And waited... And waited. At no time did a server acknowledge us or any of the customers who walked in behind and before us. They didn't even greet us or make eye contact. By the looks of things, they weren't a particularly efficient operation but we didn't stick around to find out (and neither did the other 9-10 customers awaiting seating).
Literally delicious, it’s a little more on the pricey side but I LOVE eating at Angelo’s for special occasions!! It’s me and my husbands comfort spot, it’s kinda dim in there with a soothing vibe with great service!
The food is so yummy here! And the chef is from Italy. A must try!
Absolutely delicious! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was friendly and very polite. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, no wonder the won the 2020 Best Choice Award for Italian Food in Evansville!
I was in town with my brother, sister-in-law, and 3 young nieces and we chose Angelo's for dinner based on a recommendation from a friend. While things we a bit chaotic when we first came in, due to staff shortages, our experience was great! The food was AMAZING, prices were more than reasonable and the portions were abundant. The crab cakes are a must have!!
Even though they were short staffed that night, we were seated and fed fairly quickly. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent! Locally owned.
I unfortunately didn’t have the best experience here. The rolls, appetizer and salad were all good. The unfortunate part was my veal Marsala. The veal itself was super tender and done to perfection- but the sauce killed the meal. I’ve had a lot of Marsala in my time but never like this- it was almost all wine to the degree it had an alcohol aftertaste. My tablemates had other items which were all good so maybe an isolated incident. Probably should have asked for something different but it was a business meeting so I didn’t want to disrupt things. I’ll try it again next time I’m in town and edit my review.
Shrimp was a bit over cooked. Everything else was delicious.
