Me and my boyfriend decided to stop at this place for breakfast during our road trip back home. We have been waiting 1hr 7min for fried egg and bacon (type of food that can be cooked 5 min). They should have at least let us know about waiting time before they gave us a table. Doesn’t worse the wait for egg and bacon, there is a bunch of other dining places that can serve you much faster.
horrible experience. waited over an hour for our food. our tot appetizer didn’t come out first like it should have. the manager had to go get it: food was cold. dropped our food. server barely checked on us. gave my boyfriend a childrens cookies and creme straw for his drink. won’t be returning.

There is a group of us 8-10 people. . Everyone eats there at least 3-times a week and some everyday. A 45 min.-1 hour is normal wait time, and the AC has not worked all season. It is no fun to eat there anymore.
Buttery cornbread is a highlight here. Also, try the dill ranch dressing. Good old fashioned vibe and pleasant experience.
The pictures on the menu of the watermelon lemonade looked good. I figured with watermelon it would be on the sweet side. I was wrong in a big way. It came yellow in color not pink like in the picture. Really no watermelon taste just strong unsweetened lemon juice. I asked if there was any watermelon flavoring in it and the waitress said they don't use much because watermelon is so sour. Whaaat? ? I couldn't drink it and asked for just water as they were not going to try to make it right. When my bill came I was charged for the drink that only my wife and I took one sip each from and neither could hardly choke that down. My wife doesn't do sweet drinks at all and she just about grabbed our son-in-laws pop to try to get rid of the bad taste. Not the kind of service that I've come to know from this chain. Not even an attempt to make it right. The rest of the food was good but that drink ruined the whole meal.
Told meatloaf would take 30 minutes, after waiting 20. Switched to another meal, still took over 30 minutes. Floors were full of garbage. I love Cracker Barrel, but this was a very disappointing and frustrating time.

this has to be the slowest service we've ever had at cracker barrel. so far have waited 25 mins on our food.
Poor Service!The server never refilled drink in almost an hour. Had to ask for a refill and the food came out cold. She rarely check on us to see if there was anything needed. Parents are diabetic and couldnt take their medicine on time and a child was hungry. People coming in after us got their food 10 to 20 minutes before us. Even trying to ask for the manager and had to wait just to talk. Saddest service I have received.
