My brother and his family frequented this place, so my wife and I had to give it a try. This place is confusingly good. The Baja roll was one of the best sushi rolls we have EVER had, along with one place in Monterrey, California. The cilantro, tuna, and jalapeño are layered perfectly for the best bite. We love sushi places in Chicago, but this is easily comparable if not better. Loved the drinks as well. Our server Emily was awesome, sweet, and friendly. Will definitely be back as a meeting spot from some family in Indy and us in Chicago. Thanks for this awesome spot
Hands down the best sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and sake I've had in chicago and since I left Hawaii. Staff is awesome and the food is fresh and well prepared. 10/10 recommend.

The sushi was excellent. On par with some of the high end sushi joints I've been to downtown Chicago. Best part is they are half the price of those places. I will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, I really hated the sushi :( The environment was very nice, but the sushi wasn't even better than Meijer's. The rice was too sticky and hard and the avacado was so crunchy, it had the consistency of a carrot. I am really thinking it was pre-made and sitting in a cooler until someone ordered it. Everything "special" on the menu is spicy and I'm not a huge spice fan. They put a whole log of celery in my sushi and it just did not go together. I asked if they had regular Japanese mayo, and the server looked at me like I just asked for hellman's. I will ALWAYS recommend Furin in Valpo- their sushi is the best and nobody has topped them so far!
This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant in the region! Out of all the sushi restaurants in the area, I'd contend it always has the freshest and most tasty fish. The staff is always really kind, and the rolls are fairly large and always served quickly but elegantly plated. This is an excellent place for a date night, especially if you go on Wednesday or Sunday for their specials; it's only $30 for two people. And you must try their peach sake; it's delicious!
The rolls were basically all rice with very very little fish in them. Service was good but I've gotten better sushi from grocery stores.....
