We have been going to pops for 12 years the food quality and service has been spot on! But however today 7-16-2022 we stoped and got 4 hot dogs it was over $12.00 which is whatever we got home the hot dogs where cold and hard the fries where fine I never complain never but cold food this is the worse. That we had from pops in crown point it will be a while for we go back!
Every single time I have come here for work lunch, it takes a minimum of 20 minutes(one out of the 3 times was 35 minutes) to get my food. My co workers and other were able to get their food with 5-7. Foods good but God d*amn don't order anything chicken. Also the last time we were there, 2 employees got into an argument, yaknow instead of bringing them to where people are eating and sitting them down and yelling at them take that to the office. We don't need to see that. I'm trying to relax
I said goodbye to this location tonight after 22 years. I started going to it when it was by the Jewel. I don't understand how a place can make the same thing wrong so consistently. I think it's possible they have too many customers. As of tonight they have one less.
Food was good. I felt like my sausage was sitting there for awhile though. Kids hamburger was very good and so was the Cod Sandwich. Chicken tenders had a light breading on it so if your looking for a large crunch this is not it. But they were very tender. This location also has outside seating which is pretty nice.
This place keeps getting worse! This is a gyro with extra meat. SMH. For what you get charged. Pfft
Used to love Pops, but it has gone down hill. Often out of things and when you call to confirm they have them, they say yea, you drive 30 mins and guess what nope they are out. With gas prices this high, not worth the trip when they can’t even accurately confirm they have what you want available.
Tell me this isn't going to be a fun review :-) you know pops is a great place once in a while. And I don't mean it's great to go there once in awhile I mean once in awhile when you go there it's a great place. The challenges is they can't seem to remember the recipes. Or what was ordered on the order. Though they're happy to make it up. It's still a hassle when you get home and you don't have half of your order okay I'll give him a break you don't have a quarter of your order. You get home you're hungry you're tired you lay down on the couch you relax you reaching the bag not one french fry not one french fry well could have been a 5 review.
Great place with plenty of good eats. The Italian beef is a mainstay. The baby is plenty for most appetites. The meatball sandwich is excellent. The salads are big. The soups are all good. The Beef and Barely is the best. The Lemon Rice is better many other places.
We went to Pops on a Sunday afternoon with a large group, approximately 25 people. We ate inside the restaurant. The staff was quick and friendly. We received our food in a short amount of time and the food was excellent! They handled our large group with ease. They have an excellent team of workers. Great job!
Ordered a Greek gyro tonight, asked about extra sauce. He said it was $.50 it on the side. I told him I did not want to pay it, just to tell the cook to not to jip me. After paying, I looked on my receipt and he charged me $.75 for extra sauce. Lame...Not going back!
