This hidden gem is just perfect! The food was unbelievably delicious. Their menu is great because for their daily specials they provide the best wine pairing for their meals. I ordered the braised short ribs with mushroom risotto. Probably the best risotto I've ever had. Just delectable. My friend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and my goodness. The sauce is made from scratch. It's creamy & a little cheesy, but literally perfection. I would definitely come back for some other food options, specifically their specials.
Lovely setting out on the patio, save for the irate customer losing his mind over the bar not having whatever he wanted. (Extra credit for staff keeping their cool despite being berated at length by some jerk.)Service was attentive. Food was mostly excellent. Meatballs were out of this world -- the kind of dish that will ensure I come back again. Salmon was cooked quite a bit past the medium-rare we requested, but still tasty.
Food was worth coming back for though experience left much to be desired. Waited about 15 minutes before we first saw our server who decided we were good on drinks without actually asking us. She fluttered in and out so quickly it was hard to ask her for anything. Also we sat, not by choice, in the bar which was LOUD and had a tiny table. (30 minute wait if we wanted a different one.) Maybe we just had bad luck. Would like to try a weekday... maybe it will be less frantic of a place.Pic is of a polenta tarte which was an 8.5/10!Update: we've been back many times and have learned to go during the week when it's slower. Food is always excellent, service has been much better, and it's silly but it's my favorite bathroom in all of northwest Indiana! Updating to five stars. :)Newest update: sit outside if you get a chance, even if it's getting dark. Super cute patio, nice string lights that give a romantic setting. Feel bad for the neighbors though as I could spy on them if I wanted to!
Oh me gosh! I have found my new favorite. Ate here twice this week. Started with the raspberry beret martini,yum. Appetizer, grilled shrimp red cabbage please forgive me when you see the pic I ate most of it already. I the ordered the spaghetti OMG that flavor still savors in my mouth. Even though its a large piece it is very light after the meal is the Triple chocolate mousse cake. I highly recommend. They dont take reservations so be prepared, it is well worth the wait!
I was really disappointed with this dining experience after hearing so many good things. I went here for my anniversary with my s/o and while veggies were good, the lamb shank was extremely salty. My partner was also found the short rib dish lacking it was stringy, and over salted especially the risotto. The service was ok. The atmosphere was lacking and not special, it was so loud it was hard to carry a conversation. If you're a smoker maybe you'll like eating here. Overall a really poor experience for what you pay for. I don't think we will eat here again.

Highly recommend! Charming atmosphere, outstanding service, amazing food. So many great options. Try anything that comes with the red cabbage. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I went to dinner for our date night, and we couldn't think of a better place to have had our evening. The spaghetti and veal meatballs were out of this world, and my wife loved her cavatappi with chicken in parmesan cream sauce. I had my first ever espresso and regret never having one before. The cannoli deserves a review all on its own!Thank you to the host(s), our server, the bartenders, the cooks and anyone else involved. That was great and we will be back.
Had a very nice Valentine's Day late lunch and had the special dessert too. Would like it for the price, to have soup or salad included.
