This was my first time at this Aurelio's . My family and I had a pleasant time my nice really liked I think it was fried ravioli, I had pizza and Buffalo wing which was good the restaurant was clean and the young waiteer was great, if I'm every in that area I will definitely eat there.
Aurelios is true Chicago area pizza. Having been tk the original Homewood location many times, I am always pleased that our Crown Point location tastes just as good!
The pizza is good, i used to order about every 2 weeks, they added a ordering app which over charges up the wazoo. A large cheese and sausage is $36.00. Never order again
My boyfriend and I come here about once a month. We love their pizza. This visit we tried the stuffed pizza. Oh my gosh it was the best we have eaten. I really do recommend the stuffed pizza. We thought it was a stuffed crust, and when it came we couldn't believe how delicious it looked and tasted. Almost kind of like a Chicago style deep dish except the only differences it's not a deep dish.We really do recommend trying this pizza it's absolutely delicious!
Do NOT do business with this Aurelio’s. For YEARS, I’ve been ordering sausage and mushroom pizzas from this joint. Last Friday, they sent me a sausage and pepperoni pizza. I called to report the mistake, and a new pizza was promised. Ergo, I threw away the “mistake” pizza, and settled in to wait for the new one to arrive. Five minutes later, I received a call from Aurelio’s and was told to return the “mistake” pizza to the delivery driver. When I informed the Aurelio’s employee that I’d thrown it away, she told me to DIG THROUGH MY TRASH. I’m wheelchair bound. Digging through garbage cans is not an option. Over the last forty years, I’ve ordered hundreds of pizzas from Aurelio’s. Apparently my patronage doesn’t matter to them. Probably yours doesn’t either. ORDER YOUR PIZZA ELSEWHERE.
To make a long story short, there were a group of 11 retired gentlemen that went to the CP Aurelios for dinner. There was a mix up when 2 of the men received their baskets with the onion rings and fries. They brought it to the attention of the waitress and all she said was just switch baskets and walked away. The guys, stunned by the response and attitude went ahead and switched. Doing so the one sandwich was incorrect so he brought that to her attention when she came back. She argued with him and told him he ordered that even though we all said he had not. She said he could have the sandwich he wanted but he would be paying for both. Asking to speak to a manager was not the way to go because she was one of them and the other was just as rude. He canceled his order. They then would not help with letting each person know what they owed. They were told to figure out what they owed, add tax and add the tip. She was pushing someone that was still eating to pay his part so she could cash out the receipt. He was eating. Then she told him someone owes me 80.00 . He explained what he owed and said if you didn't get the tip or tax from the others that was not his fault. The police were called. Needless to say, had they helped with what people owed as was asked and not tried to make someone pay for something they did not order, this would not have happened. An email was sent to owner, 2 gentlemen stopped at another Aurelios to find out their policy and was told the register could have helped figure out what each owed and they don't make people pay for something they did not order. She took one if their names and number to call one of them back and it has been over a week and no response. Corporate did call me and they were great. They were shocked because that is not their policy or the way they treat customers. The reason we did not get a call back is because the same owner owns both restaurants. It's a shame because we will never go back again. If we were treated this way, I am sure others are or will be because they are allowed to get away with it. Customer Service is important to any business.
Poor service from manager and server pizza was undercooked, won't be back to this location. Nasty attitudes towards customers.
Was my number 2 pizza place just under House of Pizza in Hammond. Very pricey. Take it from an old fat guy who loves pizza.
Aurelio's is a nice place. Our server was very helpful. There are six beautiful handmade glass art pieces hanging on the back of some booths. Aurelio's menu tells about it's start in the 1950s with homemade food. It's a far cry from homemade now (Bosco sticks, fried onion rings, mozzarella sticks are certainly shipped frozen from big name companies) but the food isn't bad whatsoever. It's just typical. Dependable. If you're a pizza fan who enjoys hot meatball sandwiches and French fries, you'll like this place. Kids probably enjoy it. No dessert was available on our night.
Our favorite pizza! We celebrated a birthday with 22 people, and everything was seamless. Our server, Corina, was fabulous!! Pizza's were made with perfection.
